Lala Kent isn't holding back when it comes to her failed friendship with Scheana Shay. She recently revealed why she has a "nonexistent" relationship with her Vanderpump Rules costar.
Over the summer, Scheana called out Lala and accused her of not being as supportive as she should have been after Scheana suffered a miscarriage. Scheana took to her podcast, Shenanigans With Scheana Shay, to call out her fellow SURver and accuse her of opting to have "dinner with celebrities" rather than being by her side in Palm Springs. But Lala didn't go down without a fight. In September, she took to her Instagram Story to issue a lengthy message accusing Scheana of always "making everything about her." She also brought attention to the fact that Scheana's boyfriend (and rumored fiancé) Brock Davies should have been at fault after he "said he was working, turned off his phone, and went golfing that day." Since then, Scheana announced her rainbow pregnancy and revealed which of her castmates reached out to say congrats, and Lala wasn't on the list. That came after Lala failed to invite Scheana to her gender reveal party over the summer.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Lala was asked about her relationship with Scheana. “It’s pretty much nonexistent,” Lala confessed to Andy, as noted by Reality Blurb. With the two both expecting babies in the new year, Lala “wished her the best” while expressing no interest in rekindling their friendship. In October, Scheana continued to throw shade at Lala. “She lied,” Scheana claimed on the #NoFilter podcast with Zack Peter. “She said on her [Instagram Stories] that I didn’t ask her to come over… I said, ‘I need you. Can you come over?’ And you said, ‘I can’t right now because I have dinner. Can I check on you later?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t need you later. I need you now.’” Scheana went on to explain how Lala's actions led Scheana to cut her off. “I unfollowed her. I never see a friendship with her again. And I am completely fine with that,” the "Good as Gold" singer added. “I don’t have room for that type of fakeness in my life anymore.”
When issuing out her shady read to Scheana on Instagram, Lala took issue with Scheana claiming she chose to spend time with celebrities instead of supporting her friend. "Girl, weren't you just capitalizing off banging John Mayor [sic] 100 years ago," the singer and actress asked after Scheana recently revealed her past fling with Mayer. She went on to claim that Scheana "has an idea of how everyone should react in certain situations. We usually always fail and she is left disappointed." Lala went on to call out Scheana's "way of making everything about her... her relationships are always a train wreck that make epic TV. She makes reality TV gold."
With season nine of VPR still being on pause due to the ongoing pandemic, there's no telling when the two ladies will face off on camera. Fans are anxiously awaiting the show's return.
