Lala Kent felt "honored" to watch her friend and Vanderpump Rules co-star James Kennedy propose to his longtime girlfriend, Raquel Leviss. The 29-year-old popped the question in Palm Springs, CA back in May during a Coachella-themed party with the rest of the Bravo cast there as witnesses. Shortly after Raquel said yes, she posted her new bling on Instagram. The couple celebrated by dancing the rest of the night away in front of a DJ booth in an empty field.

James and Raquel's relationship wasn't always a field of love. Fans of the show have watched the couple struggle with James' sobriety and temper. James was introduced to Bravo viewers during the third season as former cast member Kristen Doute's boyfriend. James started to mature and become a better man once he met Raquel at a New Year's Eve party where he was performing. Throughout the past five seasons, James has been accused of cheating on Raquel with multiple women and hiding his true sexuality. Regardless of what has been thrown at the couple, Raquel continues to stand by her man's side.

Now that James' proposal episode is about to air on Bravo, Lala told E! News that she felt "honored" to be a small part of their special day. "That's one of the biggest moments in someone's life and to be able to experience that with them, and I've been through so much with James, and to see him evolve in that way, I'm so thrilled for them," she said. The new mom added that the entire episode is heartwarming because she loves to see how much James has grown and matured in the last few years, as well as witnessing Raquel getting everything that she deserves.

James Kennedy Raquelle proposal

Tom Sandoval was the only cast member who knew about James' proposal plan before their trip to Palm Springs, and he kept his word on keeping his mouth shut, so much so that his girlfriend Ariana Madix was just as shocked as the rest of the cast when it happened. "It wasn't my night, but I couldn't stop crying," Ariana said. The former SUR-ver added that the ring was "well earned" because they have both been through so much together, and it's sweet to know their story has a happy ending.

Though James and Raquel's engagement isn't news, the way it played out is still somewhat of a mystery, so fans are excited to watch the next episode of Vanderpump Rules. It has been an inspiring journey watching James putting in the work to become the best version of himself for his relationship, friendships, and career, and it's nice to see that the rest of the cast recognizes that effort as well and are applauding his decision to put a ring on Raquel's finger. Now, it's a race to see which cast members get married next: James and Raquel, Lala and Randall Emmett, or Scheana Shay and Brock Davies.
