Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent celebrated her first year of sobriety by posting an empowering message to her fans on social media to honor the occasion. In the honest message, Lala calls this past year a "blessing."

Kent rose to fame after she joined the cast of Vanderpump Rules during season 4 in 2016. Ever since, she's been a key cast member. Since then, she's become a wildly popular media personality. Kent also owns a beauty empire called Give Them Lala Beauty where she sells lipsticks, glosses, highlighter, and eyeliner. Recently, Kent has also debuted her acting chops, starring in The Row, and is set to appear in a new heist film called Vault later this year.

Wednesday marks the star's first year of sobriety. Kent, 29, took to Instagram to say how this past year has been a blessing. In the post, she opened up about being more present and how she's lived in the moment this past year being completely sober. She goes on to say how humbled she has become because of this experience. Kent is very dedicated to making the lifestyle change stick by fighting for it day-in and day-out. "Because today, and every day after that, I will fight for it. But I won't give it up for anything," she stated.

Back in March, Kent revealed to her fans on social media how she has struggled with alcohol in the past and realized that she is in fact "an alcoholic." Kent came to the realization that she had an issue with alcohol five months before she opened up about it to her fans. The loss of her father, Kent Burningham, in the spring of 2018 lead the star to try and find a healthier way to grieve. Lala's father died following a stroke and a car accident. Although her father didn't die in the crash, he did pass a month later from the injuries. Earlier this year, Kent went on to join Bill Wilson's Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step program.

Kent's fiancé, Randall Emmett, also celebrated the Bravo star's milestone. Emmett took to his Instagram story to congratulate his fiancée on her one year by calling her "the most amazing woman in the world." He labeled the star an inspiration to everyone for her commitment to stay sober. Emmett and Kent got engaged during a trip to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico earlier in July. Emmett popped the question while on a trip to celebrate the actress's 28th birthday. The pair started dating during season 7 of Vanderpump Rules, but kept it under wraps. They eventually went public in January 2018. Kent's engagement comes just before her cast member Stassi Schroeder got engaged to Beau Clark in August.
