Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz finalized their divorce on Oct. 12, just seven months after announcing their separation. The Bravo stars got married in 2016 in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Lisa Vanderpump. However, they later found out that their marriage was not actually legally binding since they never received a marriage license. The couple decided to make it official in 2019 when they made it to the altar once again, this time with a small ceremony in Las Vegas. Vanderpump fans watched Katie and Tom go through many highs and lows throughout their relationship including several fights and claims of infidelity. After spending 12 years together as a couple, Katie ultimately made the decision to leave Tom. A week after they announced their separation on Instagram, Katie filed for divorce in March.

Katie and Tom’s divorce proceedings and discussions appear to have been agreeable as the divorce is already finalized less than a year after filing. Page Six obtained court records pertaining to the proceedings, which revealed the divorce was granted on Oct. 12. According to the documents, the couple cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of their divorce. In addition, the documents also revealed that their separation date was Feb. 12, despite their March announcement.

Katie and Tom have also agreed that they will not seek spousal support from one another. Furthermore, their division of assets is seemingly quite even and suggests an amicable parting. The pair sold the Valley Village home that they shared for $2 million in August and will share the sale proceeds. Katie and Tom also agreed to keep their own real estate, business ventures, vehicles, financial accounts, and personal property that is already in their name, such as jewelry.

Tom and Katie insisted there were no hard feelings towards one another and that they would be “model divorcees” when they announced their separation on Instagram in March. Their court documents and division of assets would suggest they kept their word, even in the midst of the recent drama that unfolded. Tom and fellow Vanderpump cast mate Raquel Leviss were spotted making out at Scheana Shay’s wedding to Brock Davies in Cancun; Katie was uninvited. Katie was also in Mexico but did not attend the event and was reportedly upset that Tom made out with someone in their friend group.

Katie and Tom’s relationship has been a staple in every season of Vanderpump Rules to date. Both Katie and Tom are slated to return to the series for season 10, which is currently in production. While some fans will be thrilled that they are no longer together and will say that their divorce was a long time coming, others will be nostalgic for the Tom and Katie they once knew. Fans who had been rooting for the couple will need to adjust to the reality of a Vanderpump Rules where both Tom and Katie are single.
