She said her Christmas ornaments include a little bride and groom character, an ornament symbolizing their first home together, and "ornaments with our dogs that say the Schwartzs with our names on it, and I was like, this blows." Katie explained that while it's all been very difficult, she knows it's important for her to "unpack these feelings" as she prepares for a new stage in her life.

Katie's mother, Teri Maloney, appeared on the podcast with her daughter to discuss how Katie is doing. Let's put it that way." Katie and Teri discussed how hard it has been, particularly because Katie feels like friends have to pick sides since the divorce. While some people side with Katie in believing Tom doesn't want to grow up, others have criticized Katie for being unkind to Tom and having a generally negative attitude.
Rumors swirled after Tom reportedly hooked up with their Vanderpump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss during Scheana Shay's wedding trip. Raquel split from James Kennedy in December 2021, just seven months after the couple got engaged.
