Katie Maloney gave Vanderpump Rules fans an update on how Ariana Madix is doing after Tom Sandoval's affair scandal. Ariana and Tom were together for almost 10 years before his infidelity with Raquel Leviss was exposed. Raquel, who appeared to be Ariana's close friend, was secretly seeing Tom for about seven months. Since the news broke, Ariana has kept a very low profile.
Katie updated fans on behalf of her friend, as Ariana deactivated her Instagram after discovering Tom's betrayal. Declaring that she's "#TeamAriana" in her Instagram Stories, Katie shared that her Vanderpump Rules co-star was "overwhelmed" by all the support she's received, adding, "She thanks you all so much." She then referenced getting messages from so many across social media asking what they could do to support Ariana. Katie said the best way would be through supporting their upcoming sandwich shop, Something About Her, and teased exciting announcements. On International Women's Day, new graphics and merchandise was released. Instagram account Vanderpump Rules Party revealed the shop's location, which is right by SUR.
Scheana Shares Sweet Ariana Photo Amid Vanderpump Rules Scandal
Around the same time as Katie's updates about the upcoming shop, Ariana's longtime bestie Scheana Shay shared sweet Instagram posts of daughter Summer Moon hanging out with her "auntie." This was the first glimpse of Ariana since paparazzi photos over the weekend. But on the same night as this happy outing, it was reported that Raquel filed a restraining order against Scheana. The two allegedly had a physical confrontation after appearing on Watch What Happens Live, and Raquel claimed Scheana gave her a black eye.
While Ariana has been lying low, Tom and Raquel's public actions have only earned more backlash and scorn. Tom initially posted a statement that was slammed for not mentioning Ariana even once. The same night as Scheana and Katie's updates, Tom posted another apology to Ariana. This time, he made sure to include his ex's name over and over. The re-done apology note didn't exactly go over well either. Raquel's statement was also met with extreme backlash.
While Ariana is the horribly wronged party everyone has rallied around, the past few days have also seen sympathy boosts for Katie and Scheana. Katie spent months feuding with Raquel over the pageant queen's apparent interest in ex-husband Tom Schwartz. She also butted heads with Scheana, who was called a hypocrite, for encouraging Schwartz to move on with the 28-year-old. While it's not confirmed, that dalliance appears to have been a smokescreen to hide Raquel's actual romance with Sandoval. In addition to gaining more audience support, Katie and Scheana appear to have put aside their differences for the sake of their mutual friend.
