The long-running Vanderpump Rules is currently on its ninth season on Bravo. The show focuses on Lisa Vanderpump's West Hollywood restaurant SUR and those that work there. The waiters, barbacks, and bartenders were all incredibly close and had more than enough baggage for reality TV, which is why the show has done so well.

But fans can agree that season 9 should be the show's last. Things have changed among the cast, making it a different show than it was in the early seasons. However, if Bravo and VPR producers really want to save the show, there are adjustments they can actually make.

Shift From SUR To TomTom

There came a time on VPR when Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz wanted to work with Lisa Vanderpump in the restaurant industry, they just weren't sure where they fit in. Years later, Lisa and her husband Ken decided they were ready to open a new restaurant and wanted Tom and Tom to be the face of it because they were naming it TomTom.

The creation of TomTom was shown on VPR and is now as famous as SUR. Perhaps Bravo can save the franchise by shifting the focus from SUR to TomTom. This way, the Toms, Lisa, and the cast of VPR can be in the background while new stars shine.

Add Kristen Doute As A Producer

Kristen Doute started as one of the waitresses on VPR and was close friends with Katie and former star, Stassi. As time progressed, Kristen's demons came out, her lies were exposed, and she lost her friends for a while after. This forced fans to be Team Kristen of Team Stassi.

Kristen is no longer on the show but she knew how to orchestrate things. Adding her behind the lens as a producer could be an interesting spin on the show. Because of the drama she created, being a producer could be the perfect fit because she would know what had to be done to make an entertaining scene.

Start Over With A New, Young Cast

In season 8, producers changed things up and added new SUR workers to the group. The problem was that there was a disconnect between the original cast and the new workers at SUR. It's generally an unpopular opinion to have liked season 8 for its multiple new faces.

However, if Bravo allowed the likes of Scheana, the Toms, Ariana, and Katie to be in the background as they focus on a new group of friends at SUR, that could be a start. The original cast is successful, are business and homeowners, and some have children, so focusing on a new cast that doesn't have that much would be vintage VPR, which is what fans loved.

Transition To Vanderpump Gardens In Las Vegas

The stars of VPR traveled to Las Vegas numerous times over the years to party. In one instance, they traveled to Las Vegas, and Lisa Vanderpump's Vanderpump Cocktail Garden was shown. Apparently, Lisa and Ken also had a restaurant at Caesar's Palace, and a few of its workers were shown.

One waitress, in particular, looked just like Scheana. Because Vanderpump Cocktail Garden was shown, fans theorized that a spinoff could be in the making. If that's true, it could save the series.

Move From Bravo To Netflix

There's a lot left unsaid between the cast of Vanderpump Rules. Some of the more iconic moments aren't told in whole because it's deemed too risque for network television.

Between the cursing and some of the activities that the group gets into, Vanderpump Rules could be saved if it switches from Bravo to a streaming device. Whether Netflix is the one behind it or Hulu, a mature service that allows the cast to be more open could be what the series needs to thrive.

Pick The Series Back Up When COVID Relaxes

Before shooting season 9, the crew took some time off because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Being in Los Angeles, where the group is known for being active and partying, there wasn't much to film. It wasn't safe for the cast, production, or those around them.

Once restrictions lifted, Bravo filmed again but season 9 hasn't been the same. Instead of going out the bars or parties, the group hosts home parties, which don't have the same vigor. It would be best if production relaxed until restrictions lift and the group (whoever that could include) can be social again.

Lala And James Could Revive It

In the midst of season 9 being shown on Bravo, news came out that Lala and her fiance, Randall, had called it quits due to infidelity. Lala has always crossed the line with her friend group but now it seems that she needs them more than ever.

Ironically, weeks later, it was announced that James and his fiance, Raquell, also broke up but during the season 9 reunion. This means Lala and James—who used to have a romantic web between them—are single at the same time. If Lala and James entertain a romance between them, this could be the spark the series needed to be interesting yet again.

Focus On Aspiring Actors And Musicians Instead Of Influencers

The original cast of Vanderpump Rules

Today, it doesn't matter if a reality TV star lasted one season or five, their time on TV creates a following, which leads to monetary deals on social media. Soon enough, most reality TV stars become influencers, even if that wasn't their original intention. Brittany and Jax are prime examples of former castmates who now make money online. However, some fans on Reddit think the life of an influencer ruins the show.

Meanwhile, Dannodelco told Reddit that it's "crucial" to find new workers at SUR who want "nothing to do with" being an influencer, and would rather focus on their craft. In Los Angeles, wannabe actors and musicians are everywhere, and finding those people would make better moments on VPR because they'd have to work at SUR to make their dreams come true. They wouldn't be able to quit and become an influencer.

After Hours With The Original Cast

Whether it's on Peacock or another streaming service, Vanderpump Rules could create a new home and different scene for itself. The show could have a spinoff of sorts where the original castmates do a look back at each episode and talk about what actually happened or what they were thinking at that moment on screen.

The cast had their hot mess moments, which is why the series did so well for as long as it's been on Bravo. Rewatching the series with the original cast could be a walk down memory lane, and give some important insight into what was real and what was done by production.

A New Restaurant And A New City

Aside from Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant in Las Vegas, she has more restaurants in the Los Angeles area and used to have a few back in her native England. If Vanderpump is interested, Bravo can shift from SUR to another restaurant of hers.

A new restaurant, a new scene, and a new group of characters could be what resurrects the reality show. It's a chance for new pet peeves about the cast, fresh drama, and a new city.
