Since joining the cast of Vanderpump Rules, James Kennedy's constant ability at returning hysterical levels of snarky commentary and digs to his costars has brought much-needed laughs to viewers and cast alike, while earning James hundreds of fan-created memes. James first appeared on VPR in season 3, working as a DJ at SUR while dating server (and former cast member) Kristen Doute. Though VPR season 3 was harder for James to find his footing, with fans newly acclimating to his British humor, James' one-liners grew to become iconic, with many saying his humor has saved the show.

In a thread started by Reddit user greengoddess831, who writes that "James’s commentary is freaking classic," viewers are weighing in to agree, while also leaving their own favorite moments. Formerly engaged to Raquel Leviss, James is now dating Ally Lewber, who has asked James to avoid Raquel as much as possible. Last week, Raquel crashed a guys night, leaving user Feisty-Succotash1720 to quote their favorite line from James of “Guys night means nothing!!!” Meanwhile, user Hewasasaint had a different moment in mind, remembering "when Lala asks if they’re friends and he says “ummmmmmmmm nah” I lose it everytime." Chiming in, c00l_mar states "He’s so chaotic I love him on my TV."

James Kennedy's Relationship With VPR's Cast Has Evolved For The Better

Marred by excess alcohol consumption, James had a rough start, however, he has since cut back and is making amends. Where James once put down costar Katie Maloney, he has become the only man on the cast to defend her. This shift started in VPR season 9 during a prank involving a fake-arrest, to which Katie commented that in today's climate, arrests aren't jokes. Her then husband, Tom Schwartz, tore her apart, but James jumped in, stating that Katie was right while encouraging Tom to ease-up. As for this friendship, pirited_Lock978 explained, "I think once James stopped targeting Katie she could actually appreciate how witty and funny he is."

In tough situations and trying times, humor always helps, even if it comes in the form of self-deprecation or contains elements of dark notes. So far this season, viewers have watched James jokingly tell his ex, Raquel, to leave him out of chaotic situations, a sign of growth following angrier seasons where he would have likely once screamed. That said, as season 10 will soon shift, heavily turning to focus on Raquel's affair with Tom Sandoval, hopefully, James will not return to his mean-spirited ways, but instead continually resort to humor, no matter how dark, as the viewers will need breaks to laugh throughout the unfolding dark events.

Though unlikely, given the heightened viewership as of late, should VPR ever be canceled, James has made a lucrative career using his talents as a professional DJ, alongside gaining fans on his side as of late, ensuring that any DJ'ing events he should have in the future would be well attended. While the show adds credibility to his name as a star, James, would not need it to financially survive. That said, if Vanderpump Rules season 11 occurs, many hope James is attached, as his humor and one-liners are vital, as is his support of Katie, whose friendship has become one of the greatest plot twists yet.
