Ariana Madix has been spotted in Mexico a week after news broke of the Vanderpump Rules cheating scandal. Tom Sandoval, Ariana's partner of nearly a decade, was revealed to be carrying on a months-long affair with co-star Raquel Leviss. The former bartender, who was also friends with Raquel, reportedly discovered this due to an intimate video on Tom's phone. Ariana has kept a very low profile ever since.
On Monday, March 13th, ET shared photos of Ariana attending a friend's wedding in Oaxaca, Mexico. This event was a few days after VPR fan favorite Ariana reactivated her Instagram, and was planned long before the scandal. ET reported that the 37-year-old seemed to be in a celebratory mood while attending the nuptials, as she was spotted dancing and enjoying the sunny weather. The Fancy AF Cocktails author was dressed in a bright pink and seafoam-green sundress as she posed for group photos. Amid the dramatic end of her long-term relationship with Tom, Ariana appeared to be supported by her friends and fellow guests.
VPR's Ariana Has Support Amid Sandoval & Raquel Affair
Ariana has yet to publicly comment on the scandalous affair. But ever since the story broke, she's been consistently supported by friends, co-stars, and fans. Including Tom's ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute, who became close with Ariana several years ago. Business partner and co-star Katie Maloney told fans Ariana was overwhelmed by their support, and that the best way to continue doing so would be via their upcoming sandwich shop. And before this wedding, Ariana's last public appearance came when she had dinner with her best friend Scheana Shay's family.
Ariana also has yet to respond to Tom and Raquel's public apologies. Tom's first statement was slammed for not mentioning his longtime girlfriend once. He then released another one, which mentioned her by name numerous times, but was not received much better. Raquel, who damaged several VPR cast relationships, blamed her part in the affair on an addiction to love. It was reported they planned to tell Ariana for weeks, but this was dismissed as desperate attempt at damage control. Especially since they allegedly planned to break the news on-camera at the reunion.
While Lala Kent claims the season has not been re-edited, viewers will be looking at Tom and Raquel's actions in recent episodes with fresh eyes. Last week's episode, the first to air since the news came out, showed Tom's less-than-supportive behavior, as Ariana was heartbroken over her dog Charlotte's decline. Ariana also wondered if she would be "mad at Raquel for the first time" following the latter's interest in Katie's ex-husband Tom Schwartz. The season has begun filming again, so viewers will see Ariana's reactions. And there will likely be confrontation over the deceit in the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion.
