Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt’s Ranked Mode might not be live yet, but players can start preparing right away as they will be required to be at a certain level to queue up. Bloodhunt is a free-to-play battle royale game in which players take on the role of various vampire clans as they battle for supremacy atop the rooftops of Prague. Although easy to get into for new players, the high skill ceiling practically guarantees that newcomers will often feel outclassed by veterans of the game. To solve this, Sharkmob AB, the developers of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt, aim to release a Ranked mode soon in order to properly matchmake players according to their skill.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt is set in the World of Darkness universe, a tabletop RPG that has inspired other games, such as the cult classic Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. In World of Darkness, each vampire belongs to a specific clan that often dictates certain personality traits as well as their supernatural powers. “Civilized” vampires are also expected to maintain the Masquerade, a term that depicts their efforts to keep humans from knowing of their existence.

Although Ranked mode is likely to be the most popular feature, the developers also plan to release another one called Bloodhunt mode. In the latter, players will be given extra lives, and every time they die, they will respawn with a gun and a melee weapon in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt: a Spiked Bat and a blue AK. Players will also be able to regain lost lives by feeding on certain potent mortals hidden on the map. This deathmatch-like mode is aimed at newcomers and veterans alike and seeks to provide a more fast-paced and action-packed experience.

How To Play Ranked Mode In Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodhunt Ranked Mode Ranks Bronze Silver

Currently, the developers of Bloodhunt have not yet released Ranked mode but have promised to do so soon after the game was released, meaning it is likely to go live in the next few weeks. In an effort to pre-emptively combat cheating, the developers will require players to be at least level 10 in order to be able to queue for ranked battle-royale games in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt. In these games, players can earn Ranked Points (RP), by finishing in a good place and by defeating enemies. The amount of RP a player has will eventually place them in one of the ranks depicted above.

Entering a ranked match will cost players a fixed amount of RP that is dependent on their rank, except for the first time that players queue up, which will be free. After achieving a rank in Bloodhunt, players will not be able to lose it until the season is over, after which all RP is completely reset. This offers new and old players alike an opportunity to compete in a new fresh race to the top ranks of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt's future Ranked mode.
