An experienced Valheim builder has created the literal embodiment of Viking metal in the game by designing a statue of a rocker holding an electric guitar. That’s probably the craziest project by the player to date, although their previous creations were also quite intricate and sophisticated.

One of the recent Valheim builds by the same author was a faithful recreation of Valheim's German “Tiger” tank, which looked almost like an exact copy of the real thing. The player admitted to making slight changes as the armored vehicle’s unique shape was quite difficult to fully replicate in the game. Despite that, the result was simply amazing, making one wish that actual means of land transportation were present in Valheim. Funnily enough, the builder used head trophies from some defeated monsters to give the tank a proper crew.

The latest Valheim creation by the talented builder VIXTOR is an electric guitar-wielding skeleton that is gesturing the iconic sign of the horns with its hand. As shared by Redditor Arreksis, the undead rocker statue is simple, although some stunning details are still incorporated in the build. The most impressive part is probably the giant skull with a mohawk, which makes an impression of an unintended tribute to Craig Ferguson’s sidekick Geoff Peterson who was an animatronic skeleton on The Late Late Show. The guitar’s design is also quite intricate due to its complicated shape and lighting. None of that can be achieved in the vanilla game, though. As revealed previously, VIXTOR relies on a mod called PreciseRotation, which allows placing building assets at any desired angle.

Although mods drastically improve Valheim’s functionality by updating the game’s building mechanics, projects executed in the vanilla client are still much more impressive since they can be hypothetically created by anyone. To make usual builds favorably stand out among other projects, players tend to rely on simple exploits and clever approaches. For instance, one gamer managed to create a floating steampunk airship in Valheim, decorating it with working engines and a futuristic-looking cockpit.

It feels like Valheim is slowly but steadily becoming the next Minecraft thanks to adjustable building mechanics that can be improved with mods on the go. Although players initially embraced the idea of sticking to the Viking setting with their builds, they eventually shifted to creating fantasy statues, modern vehicles, and even huge replicas of PC accessories. Stepping out of the game’s context is becoming somewhat of a trend, which is an expected result considering players are constantly gaining more confidence with Valheim.
