An imaginative Valheim player has decorated their in-game home using a beloved meme. The survival sandbox game, developed by Iron Gate Studio, launched as an early access title in February 2021. The Norse-inspired game has become quite popular following its release, and the developer has continued to support Valheim with new content in the buildup to its official release.

As a sandbox title, Valheim promotes creativity and ingenuity in its players by giving them the tools to bring all manner of designs to life. One player recently built an in-game airship which uses a unique steampunk style that sets it apart from the game's typical Viking aesthetic. The flying fortress is unable to actually move through the air, but it is actually suspended above the ground. The ship also features some truly brilliant and detailed areas, such as a cockpit outfitted with shiny controls and an on-board laboratory. Another dedicated Valheim player built a remarkably tall mountain path which leads well above the game's cloud line. The path leads to a breathtaking view of the mountains below.

Reddit user u/Tired-Texan7 recently posted a now-deleted image of a hilarious Valheim house decoration on the game's subreddit. The user reveals that their friend has adorned their in-game home with three signs, arranged in a staggered descending order, which read "Liveheim, Laugheim, Loveheim." The signs are a clear reference to the phrase "Live, Laugh, Love" which in recently years has become a meme synonymous with tacky house decorations.

While Valheim's player base is able to create endless amounts of content using their own creativity, developer Iron Gate will also be supporting the early access title with new features. The game's next update, titled Hearth & Home, is expected to arrive in the near future. The update will improve Valheim's house-building system with anticipated features such as new furniture and building designs. Iron Gate has also announced that the designs of the game's trolls and bosses will soon be changed. This monster design overhaul will hopefully make the game's creatures a bit less silly and a bit more intimidating, though it has not been specified when exactly this update will arrive.

Valheim, like other survival sandbox games such as Minecraft, has quickly established a large and highly creative player base. While Iron Gate Studio has not yet released any significant new content, players have been able to use the game's tools to create wildly original custom creations. The "Liveheim, Laughheim, Loveheim" signs may not be the most fitting decoration for a hardy Viking survivalist, but the signs do help to demonstrate how creative Valheim allows its players to become.
