How to Craft More Recipes in Valheim (Hearth & Home Update)

There are more than a couple of dozen new items that were added to Valheim with the Hearth and Home update, perfect for anyone wanting to know how to craft more recipes for a fresh experience. The Hearth and Home update includes new buildings, storage, furniture, weapons, shields, cooking, and miscellaneous recipes. Additionally, the food recipes have been reworked and divided into health, stamina, and balance foods.

Some of the biggest additions to Valheim in the Hearth and Home update include Tarpits, the ability to mount Lox, and an Obliterator. The Obliterator is essentially a waste management facility. Place as many unwanted items as desired in the Obliterator, and a lever will summon lightning to destroy everything inside. Tarpits are home to Growth, but more importantly, they are the main source for harvesting the new Tar material. They can be found anywhere in the Plain biome, but only there. Additionally, mounting Lox will require a Lox Saddle.

Before a Lox can be ridden, players will have to defeat Moder. Defeating Moder unlocks the Artisan Table, which grants the ability to craft the Spinning Wheel. Grow Flax in the plains and turn it into Linen. To craft a Lox Saddle, use 10 Leather Scraps, 20 Linen Thread, 15 Black Metal. After crafting the Lox Saddle, tame a Lox by feeding it Cloudberries. The Lox can now be saddled, and while it will defend itself, it can still die if too many enemies attack it.

More Valheim Hearth & Home Update Recipes

Many of the building recipes require Tar, which can be found in Tarpits and defended by Growths. Growths are enemies that are resistant to Pierce, Slash, and Ice damage. Additionally, Growths are immune to Poison damage and staggers. The easiest way to defeat Growths is to keep a safe distance from them and use Fire Arrows, but that they can be defeated by Blunt damage as well. Growths attack with a poison ball that slows anyone it touches, so be careful while being around them. Harvest the Tar from their bodies, and did a trench near the Tarpit to drain the liquid and mine the clumps at the bottom of the bit. These are all of the building recipes included in the Valheim Hearth and Home update.

The Cartography Table will be unlocked once players have acquired, which are Fine Wood, Bone Fragments, Bronze, Leather Scraps, and Raspberries. The Cartography Table allows players to record their map information. Anyone can use the table to copy the information on it. In order to craft the Obliterator, players will first need to find the Merchant, who sells a needed item called a Thunder Stone. The Merchant sells a Thunder Stone for 50 coins. Additionally, changes to cooking have reworked the way some of the items in Valheim are now crafted. For example, bread, pies, and other sorts of baked goods are all crafted in a Stove Oven now instead of being cooked over a fire.
