V Rising allows players to customize the rules to a world by creating private games that can be shared with their friends. V Rising is a top-down massive online roleplaying game in which players must use an intricate crafting system to create quality gear and weapons while developing their base. Players take on the role of a vampire waking up from a centuries-long slumber and now find themselves weakened and in need of exploring the harsh world of V Rising to increase their power.

While creating a private game, players will be able to tweak several settings in order to customize the world to match their preferences. These settings encompass most aspects of the game, such as how much damage the sun does to the amount of loot enemies drop. In addition, these settings grant players a lot of freedom to create a server and create their own personal version of V Rising.

Private games can be created by anyone and remain active for those with access to it as long as the host runs the game. However, there is also a way to create a dedicated server, which will keep the private game in V Rising permanently online, allowing anyone with access to enter it at any time. This requires players to rent a dedicated server from a third party or use the V Rising server client and a home PC or dedicated server machine.

How to Create a Custom Game in V Rising

V Rising private game host dedicated server

To create a private game, players must select Play from the main menu and then select Private Game. After that, players must decide on a name for the server and enter it in the Game Name field. V Rising will then require players to select what kind of Game Mode this server will use: Player vs Player (PVP), in which players can fight each other, or Players vs Environment (PVE), which is focused on cooperation and survival in V Rising.

Clan size in a fresh private game is set to four as a default but players can allow anywhere from one to ten people. Following this decision, the host must then choose a password that will be required to join the game and the number of players that can be on the server at a time, which can range from 1 to 60. Lastly, players will have a chance to select Advanced Game Settings to customize their games with over 60 setting options, after which they just have to press Start New Game to create their private open-world of V Rising.
