Warning! Spoilers for A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Marvel Comics

The Eternals are about to unleash one of their biggest weapons against the X-Men and Avengers, as Uranos the Undying, the grand-uncle of Thanos, will be set free in the upcoming A.X.E. event. In a new preview for A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1, Marvel Comics is teasing that Uranos will get temporary freedom, as he will show what he's capable of in just one single hour.

Uranos The Undying is one of the Eternals' darkest secrets, as the brother of Kronos and grand-uncle of Thanos' attempts to destroy humanity resulted in the megalomaniacal monster being imprisoned for millions of years.  Thanos sought his imprisoned grand-uncle's help in taking down the Eternals and destroying the Machine, which impressed the villain stuck in Exclusion. Now, the Eternals will be turning to Uranos as they fight the X-Men and Avengers, attempting to take down the mutants they believe are the result of excess deviation.

In a new preview for A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Kieron Gillen, Valerio Schiti, and Clayton Cowles, the Eternals will be bringing out Uranos the Undying to try to eliminate the X-Men after they're told mutants are a form of excess deviation. Uranos will be the secret weapon for the Eternals, as the grand-uncle of Thanos is being teased as a key part of the upcoming conflict between the X-Men, Eternals, and Avengers. Take a look at Uranos getting freed from Exclusion as the supervillain strikes a menacing smile.

Uranos The Undying Thanos-2

Interestingly, the tease for the issue features that readers will see what Uranos The Undying, the Eternals' secret weapon in their fight against the X-Men, "can do with one hour." Perhaps, as part of their agreement in letting Uranos free, the ancient cosmic heroes only grant their most homicidal member one hour to take on the mutants. But, unfortunately, considering how deadly Uranos is, one hour might be more than enough time for him to do severe damage to both the X-Men and Avengers.

As Gillen mentions in the preview, the Eternals are being the aggressors in their fight against the X-Men, but unleashing Uranos the Undying might be a massive mistake on their part. There's a reason the oldest eternal heroes kept the grand-uncle of Thanos in exclusion for millions of years - because he's the deadliest Eternal ever. For even an hour, freeing him to take down the X-Men and fight back against the Avengers will almost lead to more harm than good. Readers can find out more when Uranos the Undying returns in A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1 by Marvel Comics on July 20.
