Prime Video unveils the Upload season 2 trailer revealing the upgraded digital afterlife of Lakeview in the time since the season 1 finale. Created by Parks and Recreation and Space Force's Greg Daniels, the sci-fi comedy series is set in the year 2033 in which humans are able to upload themselves to a virtual afterlife of their choosing. The series revolves around Robbie Amell's Nathan, a computer programmer who dies prematurely and is uploaded to the expensive Lakeview by his wealthy still-alive girlfriend Ingrid, but begins bonding with his living customer service rep Nora and slowly uncovers the reasons behind his death.

Alongside Amell, the cast for Upload includes Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Josh Banday, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Chris Williams, Owen Daniels, Andrea Rosen and William B. Davis. Premiering on Prime Video in 2020, the series was an instant hit for the streaming platform, receiving rave reviews from critics for its unique premise, comedy and cast performances and garnering strong enough viewership to score a season 2 renewal within a week of its debut. After nearly two years of waiting, Upload is finally gearing up for its season 2 premiere and audiences are getting new looks at the next chapter of the hit series.

The Upload season 2 trailer offers a wealth of exciting teases for the hilarity to come from the next chapter of the sci-fi comedy series but also brings some interesting insight for the story. Season 1 of the series notably ended with Nora electing to leave her job as Nathan's human handler and admit her feelings for him, only for him to be unable to respond after having his data restricted by Ingrid, leading Nora to head off with her casual partner Byron to an unknown future. Meanwhile, Nathan was left with the jaw-dropping reveal that Ingrid had elected to upload herself to allow them to be together forever.

As seen in the Upload season 2 trailer, Nathan and Ingrid have seemingly adjusted to their new existence in the digital afterlife together, potentially indicating some kind of time jump since the season 1 finale. The trailer also establishes the return of Nora to her customer service rep job and resulting in an awkward new dynamic for her and Nathan, though the video still teases a potential love triangle continuing with the two despite having respective partners. Only time will tell what's to come from Nathan and Nora's reunion when Upload season 2 premieres on Prime Video on March 11.
