Netflix released the Unsolved Mysteries trailer for the upcoming revival of the series. Unsolved Mysteries was a mystery docu-series that ran from 1987 to 2010 on multiple networks, hosted by Robert Stack. The show revolved around a series of real-life mysteries that included unsolved crimes, missing persons, conspiracy theories, and paranormal phenomena. Each episode consisted of various re-enactments and interviews. The show even had stars like Matthew McConaughey, Daniel Dae Kim, Cheryl Hines, and Taran Killam play roles within the reenactments. In 2019, it was announced that Netflix would reboot Unsolved Mysteries, and it would be produced by Shawn Levy, who also produced Stranger Things.
On Tuesday, Netflix released the long-awaited trailer to Unsolved Mysteries. The 93-second trailer cuts clips from several episodes, which include a ton of interviews, some reenactments, and of course, some chillingly eerie music. In Unsolved Mysteries fashion, the episodes seem to range from true crime mysteries, to the supernatural. At the end of the trailer, six episode titles are listed: "Mystery on the Rooftop," "13 Minutes," "House of Terror," "No Ride Home," "Berkshires UFO," "and "Missing Witness."

Over the last few years, true crime docu-series and documentaries in large have had a sort of renaissance, bolstered by viewer interaction on platforms such as Twitter. This seems to be the perfect time for Unsolved Mysteries to make a comeback. It's likely that each episode of the reboot will bring its share of viewer participation, and Netflix seems to expect that. The trailer calls viewers to action, telling them to "follow the clues" and "solve the cases." The last spoken line of the trailer is, "If you know something, please come out."
The creators of the original Unsolved Mysteries, John Cosgrove and Terry Dunn Meurer, have been trying to get the show rebooted for a long time, and they've finally brought it back. The first six episodes of Unsolved Mysteries will be available to stream on Netflix on July 1.
