As players travel across the post-apocalyptic areas of Enoch, they'll encounter enemies from barbaric insurgents to carnivorous wildlife. They'll need to be equipped with the best gear and weapons in Outriders to survive these encounters, especially on more difficult world tiers. Outriders: How to Unlock More Mods
Unlock more mods in Outriders by dismantling weapons and armor with that particular mod. Some armor mods are class-specific. These mods usually boost different class skills like the Trickster's Hunt the Prey skill. The rarer the item, the better the mods attached; thus, the better mods can be unlocked. Keep in mind; Legendary items have specific mods attach to them that can't be found elsewhere in the game.
When modding Epic and Legendary gear, players can only mod one of the two available slots. Once they change one, the other becomes locked. Fans of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends know exactly how hard these decisions can be.
Mod Tiers
All classes can use weapon mods across all three tiers. Armor mods are different. ALL Tier 1 armor mods are class-specific. On the other hand, Tier 2 armor mods can be used interchangeably. Finally, Tier 3 armor mods vary between general and class-specific.

Players can add new mods to their weapons and armor when crafting in Outriders. As long as a mod can be used interchangeably, players can equip any unlocked mods to any weapon or piece of armor. Players can farm new mods the same way they farm weapons and crafting material in Outriders. Replay missions on harder world tiers to increase the rate of rare and epic gear drops. Dismantle said gear (or equip if better) to unlock new mods and farm Titanium, an essential crafting material.
When it comes to using mods correctly, players need to consider their class's healing mechanics. Each class in Outriders has a passive way of healing. For example, it wouldn't make sense to put a leeching mod (gain HP) on a Technomancer's Weapon as the Technomancer heals whenever they deal damage. Instead, they would be better off with status mods or shield building mods.
