Although it may not provide much use in the heat of battle, Telekinesis is one unique spell in Skyrim that every magic-user might want to obtain. Wielding the ability to manipulate objects from a distance is indeed a magical power that feels better to use than its inherent utility. In particular, those who lean on the more mischievous side of the alignment spectrum will find a great use for this Alteration spell in Skyrim. Discretion is key when swiping valuables from under the nose of an NPC, and Telekinesis is the perfect solution to covertly pull items in for the taking.

Beyond its extraordinary ability, Telekinesis is also an excellent way for players to increase their skill level in Alteration. However, Skyrim players should keep in mind that the spell requires at least an Adept level in Alteration; otherwise, it will drain the Magicka pool exceedingly quickly. Additionally, players must not be too careless while fumbling with objects in the air, as flinging even a harmless bucket at a bystander can result in a Hold bounty.

The easiest way to get the Telekinesis spell in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is by purchasing it from two specific NPCs. The first is Tolfdir, an elderly instructor of the arcane at the College of Winterhold. When he isn't teaching in the Hall of the Element, Tolfdir can be found on the lower level of the Hall of Attainment. Players can speak to him to buy Telekinesis for a few hundred gold. Another NPC who sells the rare Alteration spellbook is Wylandriah, the court wizard to the Jarl of Riften. Players can find her in Mistveil Keep to see her collection of robes, weapons, and tomes for sale, including the Telekinesis spell.

Guaranteed Telekinesis Spell Spawn Locations in Skyrim

Skyrim Ways to Get The Telekinesis Spell

While the Telekinesis spellbook is able to spawn in random dungeons such as the Labyrinthian, there are two locations in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim where it is guaranteed to appear. The first is Redwater Den, which can be found at the small, destroyed shack west of Autumnshade Clearing and northwest of Riften. Inside, players will find several cells full of dead or miserably living Skooma addicts. One particular cell, locked with an Adept-level lock, holds the corpse of a conjurer and a tome of Telekinesis.

The other guaranteed location where the Telekinesis spell will spawn is Benkongerike, a cave on Solstheim. To get to Solstheim, players can board the Northern Maiden at Windhelm's docks and pay the fare to travel by sea. After making it to the island, they should travel southeast of Saering's Watch to Benkongerike. Skyrim players can obtain the spellbook for Telekinesis inside the Great Hall, the second portion of the cavern.
