Naraka: Bladepoint is a martial arts-based battle royal, using advanced mobility techniques and highly amplified combat mechanics to create a fast-paced, lethal free-for-all contest of skill and speed. Taking a swift stride in a vastly different direction, Naraka: Bladepoint uses a fully customizable talent system shared across the entire character roster.

Putting an emphasis on overall play style rather than singular character builds, players can adjust their characters in a myriad of different ways. Character or class builds are often narrowed down to a single 'master build', forcing players to grind hard for items, skills, or enhancements that work under strict conditions. It may be Naraka Bladepoints goal to subvert this ideal and provide a vastly flexible, tailor-made experience that emphasizes the player rather than the meta. Here's how players can unlock talents, and begin experimenting with everything Naraka: Bladepoint has to offer.

How to Unlock Talents in Naraka Bladepoint

While "talents" may be synonymous with minor special effects or buffs that improve a character in a variety of ways, there's actually quite a lot to know when it comes to them. It's a pretty simple system once understood, but a little unusual at first considering it's taking a vastly different approach than what most games might do. In Naraka: Bladepoint, Talents encompass skills, Ultimate abilities, and glyphs that alter the overall performance of all characters available. All characters meaning any changes or enhancements made to the talent tree will affect all characters in possession; a rather universal setup. The main talent section is called a "Glyph Board" with nodes dotted around the page. There are four types of glyphs, each denoted by a different color (red, green, blue, purple). Before setting any glyphs, however, players must first unlock the talent tab by reaching level 6.

First, tackle the beginner and advanced tutorials. While these serve to help familiarize players with the mechanics of the game, they're also an excellent source of XP and should prove relatively easy making it past level 2 or 3. Once players are ready for in-match gameplay, be sure to tackle any daily tasks and take advantage of the numerous bots placed in the first few matches. As players continue playing, the number of actual players will slowly increase, so it won't be as easy finishing the match with a boat-load of eliminations. At Level 6, the talent tab will open and players can begin customizing the Glyph boards with glyphs earned through ranking up or purchasing with in-game currency. Players will gain access to a couple more Glyph boards, allowing multiple setups for different play styles.
