Progressing through all the different levels in Hitman 3 is not an easy process, and to make it work players will need to stay on top of their game. There are a host of different enemies for them to take out, a wealth of interesting tools and weapons to acquire, and many fascinating new locations to explore. Players who want to do will need to adopt a far amount of patience as well if they hope to make it through to the end.

A really great way to make the game a little easier on players though is for them to check into unlocking shortcuts. This allows them to more easily explore levels by being able to cut through these shortcuts rather than traveling throughout the entire level again. This is a great way to more easily complete missions and objectives on later playthroughs of a level. This guide shows players how to unlock shortcuts.

Hitman 3: How To Unlock Shortcuts

The levels of Hitman 3 are fairly large and sprawling, which can make navigating them fairly difficult. Later playthroughs of a level will typically have more difficult objectives, so progressing through the entire level again can be frustrating for players. Once the player gets these shortcuts unlocked they are able to gain access to important parts of the map permanently without having to backtrack through the entire level again. These shortcuts remain open forever even on subsequent runs on the level to complete different objectives.

While roaming around levels players will need to keep their eyes open for yellow metal doors, vents or ladders that lead back to the starting area. These points will allow the player to gain access to the shortcut, but first, they will have to open it. Most of them will require that the player has a crowbar in their inventory. The crowbar will allow the player to break the lock and get past the doorway. Some of them aren't actually locked at all though, and the player will only have to interact with them to open the door. Either way, it is a good idea to go ahead and carry a crowbar around wherever the player goes just in case they come across a locked shortcut. Players will need to keep in mind though that the shortcuts can only be opened from one side, so they will have to make their way through the long way of the level first before unlocking them.
