Unlocking the Secret Costumes in Street Fighter 5 can be pretty challenging. Each character has their own set of alternative colors and costumes for players to unlock. This is a great way for players to express themselves when playing independently or when playing online against others. If a player is spending dozens to hundreds of hours playing these characters, they should at least like the way they look. These costumes don't do anything in terms of gameplay and are only available for cosmetic purposes.

When selecting a character in Street Fighter 5, players will be given the option to either change the alternate costume or color of each outfit they are wearing. This is represented in every match mode. Players will need to put in some serious time to get some of the more difficult customization options available.

Colors, Character Story Costumes, Premium Costumes, and Secret Costumes in Street Fighter 5 each have different unlock methods. Some require Fight Money, so players should start saving any they earn to ensure they can unlock them all.

  • Premium Costumes: These can be purchased with Zenny. This is the premium currency available in the game and the only way to earn it is with real cash. Each costume will cost players about $4 to purchase.
  • Secret Costumes: These are minor changes that will alter the design of each character. Players will need to input this code. LP (Light Punch), MP (Medium Punch), HP (Heavy Punch), LK (Light Kick), and Up. Press them all during the loading screen until the match begins and the changes will appear. For example, Akuma's Nostalgic look, like his Street Fighter 5 Capcom Pro Tour skin, will be shirtless.

There are hundreds of different costume options to unlock. Players looking to grind for Fight Money will receive it by winning online matches, completing Daily Targets, and leveling characters. The best thing players can do may be to focus on the character the player uses the most and unlock everything they have to offer first.
