The "A Parting Greeting" is one of the final unlockables available in NieR Replicant. This guide will show players how they can unlock it. Since the release of NieR: Automata, the NieR franchise has been put on the map. Developed by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix, the game went on to sell well over 4 million units. Now, Square Enix has gone back and remade one of the original titles back from the PlayStation 3 days. This series is known to break the fourth wall a lot by messing with player's screens, save files, and audio throughout their playthroughs. This doesn't change with the "A Parting Greeting" audio file that players can unlock. This guide will show players what they need to do to unlock it.
In NieR Replicant, players will experience the game throughout several playthroughs each with their own narrative and perspective. Players will switch between characters to get the full story. Depending on what decisions the player makes throughout the story will determine the type of ending players will experience. Sometimes endings are unlocked by completing certain prerequisites before the final boss or by selecting a single dialogue option. In order to unlock the "A Parting Greeting" in NieR Replicant, players will need to unlock Ending E. This guide will show players how to do it.
How To Unlock "A Parting Greeting" Secret Audio in NieR Replicant
To unlock "A Parting Greeting", players will need to unlock Ending E. Players can do this by watching Ending D where the player chooses to sacrifice themselves to save Kaine. To unlock Ending D, plyers will need to unlock Ending B and get all 33 of the weapons in the game. When Ending D finishes, players will be able to start up a new game and play to the Aerie section. From here, players will need to answer "Yes" to the final question and it will bring back the save file it originally deleted after Ending D.
Once the player sees Ending E, they can head over to the options menu and play "A Parting Greeting". This is basically a message of all the different characters thanking the player for playing the game. It's a nice little touch that continues to break the fourth wall but it's still a nice extra bonus. At this point, players should have completed everything they possibly can. NieR Replicant concludes with a bittersweet goodbye.
NieR Replicant is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
