Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War has introduced a handful of new cosmetics into the Call of Duty universe. Players can only hope for more when season 1 officially kicks off sometime in December as Cold War integrates with Warzone. One feature that has been a calling card for recent Call of Duty games are playable Operators.

The trend began a few installments ago with Specialist characters being playable options. These characters game with unique special moves and passive traits that would alter the tide of battle. This of course leads to metas being formed within the character selection screen, and in a game that is already ‘meta-heavy’ devs must have decided to remove any competitive edges from their Operators. Now, in the current iterations of Call of Duty, Operators are purely cosmetic (with some reasonable advantages scattered throughout). This guide will focus on how players can quickly unlock Adler in Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

Black Ops: Cold War - Unlocking Adler (The Quick Way)

Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War Chopper VS Bike

There are nine unlockable Operators in Black Ops: Cold War. Five will come from the Nato faction, and four will come from The Warsaw Uprising. Each Operator comes with a unique challenge that can be completed in either Multiplayer, Fireteam, or Zombies. Players are advised to attempt the Zombie challenges with a group because these new zombies can be a handful solo. Thankfully, there is only one challenge tied to each Operator and they are all fairly simple. Players won't be grinding for Operators like they're grinding for weapons.

Adler’s challenge requires players to get 10 kills with scorestreaks in multiplayer games. That’s it. With easy-to-achieve scorestreaks pre-confirmed, as well as plenty more added to the game post-beta, players will most likely unlock Adler without even realizing it. If players are looking to speed run their Operators, the best thing they can do is select the three cheapest (available and lethal) scorestreaks. These are Combat Bow, RC-XD, and Care Package.

Combat Bow and RC-XD speak for themselves. They are both fairly cheap to earn and can kill enemy players in one hit. In fact, the Combat Bow may be able to knock a few rungs of that ladder. The reason Care Package makes the list is for the gamble that players may get something very useful like a Chopper Gunner or a Machine Gun Turret. If so, they could end up unlocking Adler in one game.

Once Adler is unlocked in Black Ops: Cold War, he will be readily available in Warzone. The same can be said for all the other Cold War Operators. Frank Woods in particular will have two playable versions in Warzone. Demon Dogs Frank came with pre-order, and Nato Frank comes by unlocking him in Cold War.
