Players can unlock new Pride Emotes in League of Legends. This guide will show players how to get them in the game. League of Legends is one of the biggest games-as-a-service titles out there. This MOBA continues to dominate and bring in millions of players a month. This is also one of the most competitive games available, bringing in millions of dollars in prize money and sponsorships. With June being the month of Pride where the world celebrates those in the LGBTQ+ community, many companies have released new content centered around it. This guide will show players how they can unlock the Pride Emotes in League of Legends.

For Pride 2021, players will have the ability to unlock two separate Pride Emotes. These can be used in-game to communicate with other players. Most of the challenges centered around Pride month began in May, and all of them will conclude at the end of June. Players only have about 3 weeks until they won't be able to unlock the Pride Emotes anymore. Outside of emotes, players can also unlock an exclusive Pride icon. All challenges can be completed within matches. Fortunately, unlocking them shouldn't take too long, either. Here is how players can unlock the new Pride emotes in League of Legends.

How To Unlock The Pride Emotes in League of Legends

There are two Pride emotes for players to unlock this month. Here is how players can unlock them both.

  • Complete the "Love That Encircles the Horizon" mission: To do this, players will need to earn 50 points. Players can earn 5 points by winning a game with a friend, earn 3 points by losing a game with a friend, earn 2 points by winning a game alone, or earn 1 point by losing a game alone. The best thing to do for this challenge is to play with friends to earn the most points fastest.
  • Complete the "The Moon Reflects the Truth" mission: Players can either earn 20,000 gold, play 3 games as, with, or against Diana, or play 6 games total. This one is much easier since it doesn't matter if players win or lose. They just need to play the game.

It's nice to see some representation for the LGBTQ+ community in video games, especially popular titles like League of Legends. Representation can go a long way in bringing in new fans to enjoy several types of content. While icons and emotes are smaller forms of representation, they are much better than completely ignoring this community. It will be interesting to see what they plan for next year.
