Montgomery Gator can be decommissioned in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, and players can take his claws to upgrade Freddy. In order to defeat Monty, players will need to set up a trap and lure him into it. The mission to destroy Montgomery Gator comes at 4:00 am, and players will need to move quickly and strategically to keep from getting caught by him.

In his first appearance, FNAF: Security Breach's Monty is chasing Gregory, and players need to escape before he catches up. From that point, players will have several encounters with Montgomery Gator as he attempts to track down and kill Gregory. Once players get the quest to decommission him, then they can head to Monty's Gator Golf and complete a boss fight. Decommissioning Monty will let Gregory take his claws to upgrade Freddy.

In order to decommission Montgomery Gator, players will need to defeat him in a boss fight. At Monty's Gator Golf, there is a splash bucket players can fill up with the ball-shooters around the catwalk. Monty will be actively searching for Gregory while he's filling the splash bucket, so players need to make sure they don't run into him. If players have the Fazer Blaster in FNAF: Security Breach, they can use it to stun Monty if he gets too close. It will take several ball-shooters to completely fill the splash bucket, and once it's full, players will need to get to the switch. The button is on the right side of the splash bucket. When the button is pressed, a cutscene will trigger showing FNAF: Security Breach's Monty being destroyed.

Once players have defeated Monty, they can take his claws and head back to Parts and Services to upgrade Freddy. To perform the upgrade, players will need to complete a minigame where they must remember the correct sequence of buttons. Players only need to complete the process for one of Freddy's arms and the machine will automatically upgrade the other one. After players perform the upgrade, Freddy will gain the ability to smash the cyclone fences around the Pizzaplex.

Montgomery Gator's claws can be used to break through fences and reach new areas. Players can find previously inaccessible collectibles, and the claws will give players the opportunity to unlock the true ending in FNAF: Security Breach. Along with Monty's claws, players will also need Chica's voicebox in order to complete the canon ending with Springtrap's boss fight. Another major area players can unlock with Monty's claws is the room where Gregory can listen to the Retro CDs.

There are 16 Retro CDs for players to obtain if they've decommissioned Roxanne Wolf and upgraded Freddy with her eyes. However, in order to listen to them, players will need to have Monty's claws. The room to listen to the Retro CDs in FNAF: Security Breach can be found in the Maintenance Tunnels past the fence where Monty first appeared. Players can listen to any of the CDs they've collected to learn more about the characters in FNAF: Security Breach. Monty can be decommissioned and his claws can be used to rip through fences so players can reach new areas of the Pizzaplex in FNAF: Security Breach.
