Merit Points are a progression resource in the Genshin Impact-style MMORPG Tower of Fantasy used to raise Merit Levels. Merits Levels are the tiers within the game's battle Pass system, during which Wanderers can climb through the linear ranks to receive a variety of materials, items, and currency. This Pass has a Normal Reward path for free-to-play players and an Advanced Reward route for Genshin Impact fans willing to pay real-world money. Nonetheless, both tracks still require participants to earn Merit Points to unlock the rewards.

Beneath the progression bar of the Pass in Tower of Fantasy, Wanderers are told to "gain lots of Merit EXP via weekly activities to raise merit level." While those who've played the game for several hours may already understand what these instructions mean, newcomers might be bewildered. Fortunately, the system is straightforward to comprehend and is connected to a feature that becomes available as Wanderers progress through the main campaign.

According to Gamepur, the protagonist of Tower of Fantasy will receive access to the Adventure menu after returning to Astra from Hykros. This menu functions similarly to the Adventurer Handbook in Genshin Impact, featuring weekly tasks, milestones, and other challenges.

The tab that players should focus on is "Weekly," which contains several repeatable assignments such as "Sign in 3 times" or "Complete 4 Bounty Missions." Completing these tasks will reward players with Activity Points. These Activity Points are added to a weekly total that accumulates on a progression bar and unlocks various rewards, one of which is Merit Points. In other words, Tower of Fantasy Wanderers must complete these weekly activities to gain XP for their Adventure book, which then earns Merit Points for the Pass. Naturally, this process might be somewhat confusing, but the core idea should be to concentrate on grinding weekly tasks.

Alternatively, progression through the Merit Levels of the Pass can be accelerated using Dark Crystals, a currency identical to Genshin Impact's Primogems. Like how players can spend Primogems to skip levels in Genshin's Battle Pass, Wanderers can use their Dark Crystals to skip the XP grind and buy progression. However, this method is not recommended for free-to-play users, as Dark Crystals are essential for gacha pulls, weapon advancements, and upgrades. While the game is quite generous with providing this currency early on, it can be more challenging to obtain in the later stages of one's journey. Nevertheless, those with the extra wealth can spend their money to bypass the weekly activity requirements and immediately receive the Pass's rewards in Tower of Fantasy.
