Flying in Pokemon Sword & Shield helps players save dozens of hours when exploring the Galar region. Here's how players can unlock all the flying locations on the Isle of Armor. In previous entries of the series, a Pokemon would need to know the move "Fly" and the trainer who need to have the appropriate gym badge in order to fast-travel to previous locations. This is a great way to save time from backtracking in the game. As the years went on, the Pokemon games began to remove the reliance of the player's team in order to traverse the world. In Pokemon Sword & Shield, players can call on the Corviknight Cab to travel wherever they need, allowing the player to customize their teams in the way they'd like. Here's how players can unlock all the areas to Fly to on the Isle of Armor.

The Isle of Armor is a brand-new location introduced in the Pokemon Sword & Shield expansion pass. The expansion pass is split up into two separate parts. The first being the Isle of Armor, which is currently available now. It brings along over 100 older Pokemon and contains new story elements with a new wild area to explore. The second half, the Crown Tundra, is scheduled to release later this Fall. This will include an additional 100 older Pokemon and Galarian forms of the legendary birds and new Regi Pokemon as well. This marks the first time in the series history where a mainline title received paid DLC. Here's how players can unlock all the Fly areas on the Isle of Armor.

To unlock these Fly locations, the player will need to visit these locations for the first time. Not every blue dot allows the player to fly to. There are currently 5 locations the player can fly to on the Isle of Armor.

  • Challenge Beach: Tower of Waters
  • Challenge Road: Tower of Darkness
  • Training Lowlands
  • Fields of Honor: Masters Dojo
  • Fields of Honor: Train Station

The player just needs to visit each of these locations to unlock the ability to fly to them. Players can unlock all of these locations naturally by playing through the Isle of Armor storyline, as it hits all of these locations.

For new content to appear in older Pokemon titles, players would have to shell out for a definitive third version. For every Pokemon Blue and Red, there was a Pokemon Yellow. This is the first time ever a mainline title has received paid DLC. This method allows players to enjoy another adventure with their original teams rather than having to construct an entirely new one. The Galar region is a rich location, full of history and beautiful locations to explore and catch Pokemon in. The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra allow for another trip into the Galar region.
