Bravely Default 2 has a heap load of classes to mix and match and create some interesting combinations for battle. These classes come from special stones that imbue power called Asterisks. Collecting Asterisks is important to the story since they provide diverse methods for making the heroes stronger. Providing that players explore the game and do as many quests as possible, collecting Asterisks should prove a relatively simple task. However, one final story-bound Asterisk is a true beast and requires players to surmount a pretty high hurdle. This class held within this Asterisk is named the Hellblade.

Hellblade possesses high-risk high-reward abilities reminiscent of the Dark Knight class found most familiarly in Final Fantasy. By sacrificing HP, the Hellblade Asterisk provides its user with immensely powerful attacks capable of damaging opponents over extended periods of time. There are more than a couple of these skills that uses this function, each with a different element, so variety is not an issue here. Here’s how players can obtain this Asterisk.

How to Unlock Hellblade in Bravely Default 2

As far as hurdles go, nothing says "difficult" like a semi-final boss with ridiculous attacks that do mountains of damage. Adam, leader of the Holograd empire gives the hero’s party a rough time from the beginning of the game. After taking one of the essential items needed to restore balance to the world, Adam becomes an opponent that must be defeated sooner or later. Toward the end of Chapter 4, Adam is holed up in Holograd surrounded by a maze of pathways, rooms, and dead ends that players will have to explore before making it to the final floor. Adam is easily perceived as the main antagonist, but apparently, there’s a little bit more the heroes have to deal with before their journey is officially over. However, Adam is the goal here.

For players to acquire the Hellblade Asterisk, they must take it from Adam himself. Adam does use the Hellblade Asterisk during this final battle between him in the party, so it’s a grand opportunity to take a glimpse at how powerful the Hellblade’s abilities actually are. Defeating him will require some patience and extreme preparation since his abilities are terribly powerful. One of them being a neat insta-kill once his health has reached a suitable low point. Players should focus on maxing out their classes before attempting to fight him since Adam capitalizes on every move players make. Using the Oracle class or the White mage class would help guarantee that the heroes party has a steady defense and health restoration. The Oracle class has an ability called Noble Sacrifice that will help players prevent an immediate wipe during the battle. Stock up on plenty of items especially potions, and defeating Adam is only a matter of time.
