Like all other games in the Final Fantasy franchise, Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion features the ability to collect Genji equipment. Genji equipment is heavy armor that is similar to that of samurai equipment. This set of items consists of four pieces: armor, gloves, a helm, and a shield.

All of these objects provide higher defenses while in combative situations. In fact, Genji equipment is known as the most powerful equipment in this game. It is recommended to equip these items when facing opposing forces of higher levels in order to complete missions with more effectiveness. Below are the methods in which to unlock all four elements included in the Genji equipment set.

Genji Armor

Genji Armor has an HP limit of 99,999 and has the ability to keep the Endure and Regen status active. This item can be unlocked by acquiring 100% Digital Mind Wave, also known as DMW. Players must first obtain seven Character and 11 Summon Images in order to get 100% DMW. Each of the 18 DMW Images will then need to be leveled up to 100%.

Genji Glove

The Genji Glove has a damage limit of 99,999. Additionally, this item offers a 100% critical rate for physical attacks. This item can be found within a chest while completing Mission 9-6-4: Biomechanical Threats.

Genji Helm

The Genji Helm offers players the ability to terminate the expenditure of MP and AP when using magic, commands, and abilities. Note that MP references Mana Points and AP is short for Ability Points. This item also offers Auto-Libra. The Helm can be obtained by purchasing it from the Network Shop Shade for 1,000,000 Gil.

Genji Shield

The Genji shield allows the Barrier and MBarrier to remain active. This piece of equipment also absorbs all elemental damage and is able to resist all status ailments. Obtaining this piece of equipment is by far the most time-consuming of all the Genji collection. Players must first encounter a Magic Pot in Mission 7-6-6: The Determined Recruiter. There are four attacks that one must use during this confrontation: Costly Punch, Gil Toss, Octaslash, and 99999 Damage.

If the strength of the Genji equipment is not enough of an incentive to unlock these items, then the reward gained afterward might be. Once the equipment is collected, players will earn an achievement. A silver trophy will be rewarded to players for their efforts while obtaining the Genji equipment collection in Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion.
