Darkness is everywhere in Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and players finally get a chance to wield it for themselves. Darkness abilities are little bit more nuanced this time around and have some interesting perks attached to them that make them even more powerful. Aspects are very similar to "codes" in light sub-classes that required players to earn one by one.

Aspects can be found through given quests and require multiple steps to acquire them. The way the quest plays out operates the same, but know that players have to do this 3 times in total for this week in order to unlock the first aspect for every class type; Titan, Hunter, and Warlock. Here's how players can unlock the first Aspect.

How to Unlock the First Aspect in Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Destiny 2 - Aspect of Control

Unlocking Aspects is a step that becomes available to players after completing the Beyond Light main campaign. By now it's known that the bulk of Destiny 2 content is never what's available initially, but what comes afterward. After finishing it, players are given a series of other quests and one of them is titled "Aspect of Control". Talking to the Stranger will give players this quest but completing it requires some interaction with another character, The Drifter. Within the quest details, it states that players must have the exotic gloves "Salvation Grip" before going on a scavenger hunt for Entropic shards. This other quest is titled "The Stasis prototype", and is given by the Drifter back at the tower. The quest isn't too difficult but has a few steps that follow...

  • Step 1 - Defeat Fallen Captains and Servitors to collect intel
  • Step 2 - Complete an Empire Hunt
  • Step 3 - Afflict and kill enemies with stasis abilities
  • Step 4 - Complete the Concealed Void Lost sector and then speak to a Spider's Associate

After this questline, players should have the stasis grenade launcher Salvation's Grip. Charging the weapon increases its effectiveness to freeze enemies so it's a good companion to have if players aren't using the stasis sub-class. Finally, going back to the Aspect of Control quest, players have to go about searching Europa for the Entropic shards. Do not fret, as the game does provide ample direction by way of leaving a node on-screen whenever players get close. Opening up the ghost scanner will also make the indicator appear so that's another way to find out where to go in case the icon goes away. Just in case, here is a video showing how to travel and locate all nodes by Youtuber Ehroar.
