Valorant recently released the new skin Elderflame, but how do players gain this skin? The episodic game is still only in its very first episode but has already released an Ultra-Edition skin. Players may be eager to pick up this skin since its release on July 10th.
The Elderflame skin allows players to wield the powers of a dragon by giving any of their weapons this skin. The skin not only turns guns into handheld dragons but also can be upgraded. Each upgrade effects the firing speed and damage of the weapons.
Wield the Power of Dragons
To wield the power of dragons with the Elderflame skin, players will have to purchase the skin. Currently, this skin can be bought with both money and Valorant points in the in-game store. This means that points can be built up in-game to eventually purchase the skin if a player doesn't want to pay money for it. Though, based on the money value of the skin, it would likely take a lot of time and gameplay to build that up.
The skin costs 9,900 VP or $90. Now that the skin has officially been released, players can buy it straight out of the in-game Valorant store. As stated before the skin can also be upgraded several times, each for 10-15 Radianite points.
The skin is available for the Vandal, Operator, Knife, Judge, and Frenzy weapons. Each one has up to four levels of upgrades. Each weapon with the skin will gain animations as if it were truly a tiny dragon in the palm of the character's hand. The upgrades will give each weapon a faster firing rate (if they are a gun), better damage, and, at the highest level, can summon a dragon head above the enemy's head.
As the game is free to play, it only makes sense that the developers would create beautiful skins to rake in some cash for their newest baby. Though this is a very expensive and mostly cosmetic pack, it is much more beautifully animated and designed than the cheaper standard skins that are available on Valorant for $25. With Elderflame being such an expensive piece of in-game content, this skin will likely become a rare thing to find while battling, or only belonging to the most dedicated of players. With the power of the dragon by their side, who would even dare to challenge them?
