Crafting is an essential part of Everspace 2It’s necessary to know how to craft in Everspace 2 so players can upgrade existing components or create new ones to improve their sentinel. Before heading out to search for the way to start crafting in Everspace 2, it’s important to find blueprints. To craft anything in the game, players will need to find at least one blueprint first. Without blueprints, there really isn’t any way for players to know what is necessary for the crafting item.

In order to unlock crafting in Everspace 2 itself, players will need to find a Trading Outpost. Luckily, there are quite a few of those scattered throughout the initial tutorial zones, so locating one shouldn't be too difficult. To find a Trading Outpost, players should be able to see it located on the game's HUD as they fly around space. Once at the Trading Outpost, players can purchase a Cargo Unit. Cargo Units are awesome because they upgrade the player's inventory. But, more importantly, purchasing a Cargo Unit will also unlock crafting.

For players who want to dive right into crafting, it’s crucial to ensure there is at least one empty space in the player's inventory before beginning. Highlight the empty space and hold the R key (or left on the D-pad). This will provide Everspace 2 players with a list of blueprints that are available. These are blueprints that the player has previously found. This will give players a chance to craft components or upgrades for their Sentinel ships. From there, it’s a matter of collecting materials to complete the crafting.

Additionally, players will be able to dismantle items. It’s the perfect way to remove old upgrades, create space, or get new crafting resources. If there are resources that seem to be tricky to locate, but players have extra upgrades or components to their ship, dismantling them may be the best (and easiest) way to find those difficult crafting materials.
