The newest installment of the AC series, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, wouldn't be complete without proper assassinations. While quite a bit of the game is dedicated to the Viking dream life, there are ways to invest further into the assassin roots like through building the Assassin's Guild in Ravensthorpe. One of the deeper options is the advanced assassination skill.

While most enemies can be killed off with the standard assassination, advanced assassinations are for the hardened enemies. In particular, the advanced assassination will enable players to kill high-leveled enemies with one hit as long as it is properly timed. To unlock this useful skill, players will need to invest in the Stealth skill line.

Skill Tree Investments to Unlock the Advanced Assassination in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

In Valhalla, players have three skill trees they can invest in; melee, ranged, and stealth. Stealth is the yellow tree and is the one necessary to unlock the advanced assassination skill. Unlike the more standard and tidy skill trees, most other games have, Valhalla's is a bit of a giant interconnected web that is difficult to navigate. On top of this, the advanced assassination skill takes eight skill points to gain. While this may not be an incredibly difficult skill to get, it will require players to identify which of the skills are the most important to them.

The skill trees tend to bleed into one another with buffs, so players should think through exactly what type of Raven Clan member they wish to be. In particular, stealth and ranged overlap quite a bit and make a great duo for building a confident but stealthy character. Among these are the Guided Arrow and Missile Reversal from the Stealth tree and the Stealth Adrenaline and Stealth Recon within the Ranged skill tree.

Within the stealth tree, players will need to select their skill investments as follows to unlock the Advanced Assassination. Stealth -> Way of the Raven -> Melee -> Stealth -> Ranged -> Melee -> Health -> Advanced Assassination. Aside from this, the Stealth skill tree is also home to the Backstab, Chain Assassination, Assassin's Cantrip, and more all of which can prove valuable. Backstab will deal defense damage and stagger the target. Chain Assassination allows the player to throw an axe at approaching enemies after making a successful kill. Finally, Assassin's Cantrip allows the player to make a smooth getaway by using a smoke bomb after successfully parrying an incoming attack.
