Unhinged features a truly terrifying performance from Russell Crowe, so how do you know him and the main protagonists? Now streaming on Amazon Prime, the 93-minute thriller follows a woman whose life spirals out of control after a road rage incident. Unhinged was directed by Derrick Borte, and originally released in theaters during late 2020.

Set in New Orleans, Unhinged begins with Tom Cooper (Crowe) seeking revenge on his ex-wife and her boyfriend. Meanwhile, a divorcee named Rachel Flynn enjoys some family time with her brother and son, and then gets stuck in a traffic jam. In a moment of frustration, Rachel aggressively honks at another vehicle, which just so happens to be driven by the aforementioned Tom. The man gets angry that he didn't receive a "courtesy tap," and then vows revenge when Rachel refuses to apologize.

Russell Crowe stars as Tom Cooper - officially credited as "Man" - an angry individual who lashes out at Rachel after a New Orleans traffic accident. He then systemically hunts down the woman's loved ones, and vows to make her feel real pain. In pop culture, Crowe is best known for his Oscar-winning performance as Maximus in the 2000 movie Gladiator. He has also earned Academy award nominations for portraying Jeffrey Wigand in The Insider and John Nash in A Beautiful Mind. During the 2000s, Crowe also headlined Cinderella Man as Jim Braddock and later appeared as Jor-El in Man of Steel.
