The leading ladies of the Underworld and Resident Evil film series are fierce fighters with formidable reputations. Underworld's Selene begins her series as a centuries-old vampire, fighting on the frontlines of the Lycan war with her fellow Death Dealers. Alice displays immense strength and combat skills from her brush with the T-Virus, and has psionic powers in the later films.
Selene and Alice have fought a plethora of supernatural creatures and mutated monsters throughout their respective franchises. If they were to meet on the battlefield, the results would be hard to call. Would the vampire elder Selena win or would the superpowered Alice take the victory?
Selene: Skilled With Weaponry
From her first scene in Underworld, Selene the Death Dealer exhibits an exceptional proficiency with weapons against the Lycan forces. Guns remain her weapon of choice for most of the films, though the vampire also uses a range of daggers and explosives when necessary.
Alice displays a similar skill with weapons during Resident Evil. Against Selene, however, who has had years to perfect her use of every weapon known to humanity, Alice's skills might not be enough to win.
Alice: Skilled In Combat
Alice's weaponry might not be on Selene's level, but the zombie heroine's martial arts skills outrival her vampire opponent's. Selene's physical fights in the Underworld series pale in comparison to Alice's, who relies on her superior strength more often.
Even with amnesia, Alice still manages to take down zombie bad guys in Resident Evil. Selene had vampire strength to rely on over the centuries, whereas Alice arguably trained more before her brush with the T-Virus.
Selene: Vampire Powers
Selene's vampire powers aren't to be underestimated. The heroine's undead status awards her with superior strength, speed, and senses. Additionally, the vampire can heal from wounds and can withstand more damage in a physical battle.
Selene spends most of her time in the Underworld series fighting monstrous Lycans and deadly elders. If the vampire can defeat esteemed figures like Viktor and Marcus, Alice shouldn't stand a chance.
Alice: Infected With The T-Virus
Selene isn't the only one with supernatural abilities, however. Alice was injected with the T-Virus and experimented on by the Umbrella Corporation. Thanks to their meddling, the series heroine is stronger and faster than other humans, capable of withstanding battles with Lickers and other zombie monsters.
Alice's powers rival even that of Selena, a vampire elder. Without weapons, the former Death Dealer might struggle to overcome her enhanced opponent.
Selene: Killed Countless Lycans
Selene has racked up a fearsome Lycan body count throughout the Underworld franchise. Before the events of the first film, she spent centuries hunting Lycans as a Death Dealer. Her union with Michael Corvin drags her deeper into the war against the werewolves, with shocking consequences.
Alice would find no easy fight against Selene, despite her additional powers. The vampire has killed plenty of bigger, scarier monsters than her Resident Evil counterpart.
Alice: Killed Countless Zombies
On the other hand, Alice proved throughout the Resident Evil series that she was an accomplished warrior by killing many mutated creatures. Resident Evil features her first clash with zombies in the HIVE before the infection consumes the world, unleashing hoards of living dead.
Whereas Selene has fought and killed numerous Lycans, Alice has overcome plentiful monsters from Umbrella. Alice is just as experienced a fighter, too much even for the leather-toting vampire.
Selene: Enhanced By Alexander Corvinus' Blood
Underworld: Evolution features a significant shift in power for Selene. She and Michael encounter Alexander Corvinus, the first immortal, while fleeing the vampire elder Marcus. Marcus kills Alexander in a bloody confrontation, though the immortal all-father passes on a gift before meeting his fate.
Alexander allows Selene to drink his blood before her showdown with Marcus. The blood of the immortal enhances the vampire's already considerable strength, and erases her vulnerability to sunlight.
Alice: Possessed Psionic Abilities
Alice also receives a level-up in power at the end of Resident Evil: Apocalypse. After escaping Raccoon City, she is captured once more by Umbrella. The evil corporation continues to enhance her supernatural abilities, giving her psionic powers instrumental in her second escape.
Alice's powers develop in Extinction as she learns how to harness her new telekinetic skills. With these powers in her arsenal, Selene's chances of defeating her are diminished.
Selene: Older And More Experienced
With age comes wisdom, as well as centuries of battle strategy and combat experience. Selene was born around 1383 and spent over 600 years as a vampire. In addition to possessing centuries-old wisdom and foresight, Selene has more experience battling supernatural creatures than Alice.
Alice's powers could overwhelm the vampire elder in a spontaneous fight. With time to prepare, Selene could utilize her experience to manipulate a different outcome.
Alice: Had An Army Of Clones
Alice's chances of victory are almost guaranteed if she were to bring her army of clones to the fight. Resident Evil: Extinction reveals Umbrella's sinister machinations with Alice's doppelgangers, who accompany their original counterpart on her vendetta against the corporation.
If Alice's clones accompany her to the battle against Selene, then the vampire elder would be overwhelmed by a power even she couldn't defeat. Other circumstances could alter the outcome, however. Both women have faced impossible outcomes and survived to fight again another day.
