Brooks Ashmanskas as Stanley James

Brooks Ashmanskas plays one of Michael's oldest friends, Stanley in Uncoupled. He is an art dealer, who, like Michael, is trying his luck in the New York dating scene. Ashmanskas has twice been Tony-nominated for Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me and The Prom, and recently appeared in the Disney+ original movie Better Nate Than Ever.

Emerson Brooks plays Billy, another of Michael's supportive friends. As well as being a local celebrity thanks to his job as a weather presenter, Billy is big in New York's gay dating scene and introduces Michael to Grindr. Previously Brooks has played a SHIELD agent in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and recently appeared in Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer.

Tuc Watkins as Colin - Colin is the long-term partner who breaks up with Michael in Uncoupled. Watkins has is best known for his roles in Desperate Housewives and One Life To Live. Recently, Watkins featured in Netflix's adaptation of The Boys In The Band, having been part of the stage show in 2018.

Marcia Gay Harden as Claire - like Michael, Claire is recently single and figuring out what to do next. Claire meets Michael when she decides that she wants to sell her expensive Manhattan apartment. Harden won an Academy Award in 2001 for her supporting role in Pollock, and a Tony Award in 2009 for her performance in God Of Carnage. Before featuring in Uncoupled, Harden recently appeared in the Fifty Shades series as Christian Grey's adoptive mother.
