Mark Walberg's Sully shirt has been revealed in a new image from the upcoming Uncharted movie. Based on the beloved video game series, Uncharted has been in the works for some time, but only recently gained real traction. It first went into development in 2008, and over the years it has undergone numerous director changes and release delays. Finally, Uncharted began production this summer (after yet another delay) with Tom Holland in the lead role of Nathan Drake and Ruben Fleischer directing. Currently, it is scheduled for release in July 2021.

Specific plot details are still being kept under wraps, but it's certain that Uncharted will be a prequel focusing on the origins of Holland's Drake. In the video games, Drake is a treasure hunter akin to Indiana Jones, but he'll presumably start the film in a very different place. Walberg will play Victor "Sully" Sullivan, Drake's future mentor. Through various set photos, fans have gotten some glimpses of the two in character, as well as Walberg's Sully mustache. Until now, that bit of facial hair has been the only part of Walberg's portrayal that fits the games.

To commemorate the end of Uncharted's production, Walberg and Sony shared a new image of Sully's shirt. Game fans will be pleased to see the short-sleeved, button-down style matches Sully's look from the source material, though they'll have to wait to actually see Walberg in it. Nevertheless, as the latest tease from Uncharted, it's bound to entice fans. Check it out down below.

Between Uncharted's status as a prequel and Walberg's previous on-set looks, fans have been feeling a little apprehensive about this project. While images can't fully indicate how Walberg's performance will turn out, this glimpse of one of his Sully shirts at least shows some key details have been included from the games. The first official image of Holland in costume as Drake won over some fans, and while this isn't the same as seeing Walberg in full costume, it's a nice hint of what's to come.

In finishing production, Uncharted has come further than it ever has before. This means it could actually hit its release date this time around, which would come as a relief to fans who have waited years to see Uncharted get turned into a movie. Whether it was worth the wait remains to be seen, but fans will surely have plenty of opinions when the film itself is released. Until then, they have the prospect of more pictures to look forward to, as well as the first trailer. That, above all else, can give an idea of what to expect from the long-awaited Uncharted.
