Rumors suggest that an official LEGO set inspired by the Uncharted franchise may be announced in the near future. Naughty Dog's third-person shooter series, which stars adventurous archeologist Nathan Drake, takes players on intercontinental quests to obtain a host of valuable treasures. With Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO set recently releasing on January 1, many gamers are looking forward to more iconic games becoming brick-based building kits.

Established in 1932, the LEGO brand's plastic building sets have become a household icon around the world. The construction toys give users the resources to assemble truly amazing sculptures, with small minifigures acting as people. While some fans prefer to make their own custom models using LEGO bricks, each set also comes with step-by-step instructions to help create the intended final product. LEGO kits based on franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter, DC Comics, Minecraft and more have become particularly popular in recent years. Some fan-made sets can even become official products through the LEGO Ideas initiative, with one fan's Kirby's Dream Land LEGO set recently adding Nintendo's pink hero to the system.

As reported by Push Square, rumors suggest that an Uncharted LEGO set may be in the works. Dedicated LEGO communities have apparently caught wind that the themed kit, specifically inspired by Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, will be 1,326 pieces and will include a Jeep and a cave. Series protagonist Nathan Drake has a history of both driving and being chased by Jeeps, lending some credibility to the rumor. While these claims are far from officially verified, Push Square reports that the kit is said to be releasing in March, which means an official announcement from LEGO would be released in the very near future.

Nathan Drake in a LEGO forest

While the series' last major installment released in 2017, the Uncharted franchise is perhaps more popular now than ever before. A movie based on Naughty Dog's games, starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Sully, is set to release worldwide in February 2022. Meanwhile, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection release date will soon arrive on January 28. This updated rerelease will include Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy, which both launched on the PlayStation 4, while giving both titles updated graphics for the PlayStation 5. A PC release of the Legacy of Thieves Collection will then follow later in 2022.

LEGO has been around for decades, and the popular brand of plastic bricks continues to become more and more popular. Licensed kits have allowed fans to construct locations and vehicles from many different franchises, and the Uncharted series may soon join the lineup. With Nathan Drake visiting all manner of different exotic locations throughout the series, an Uncharted LEGO set seems like a perfect collaboration.
