Similar to the Director's Cut of Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, the next-gen upgrade of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy allows players to transfer their PS4 Saves to PS5. This transfer feature applies for owners of both games, meaning if a player only has A Thief's End but not Lost Legacy, save transferring is still possible. This "single-title ownership benefit" also applies to the Legacy of Thieves upgraded version from PS4 to PS5. It is not required for players to own both games for upgrading. Instead, players only need to have one of the games to purchase the discounted upgrade package containing both Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy.
To acquire the 10 USD upgrade, players need to open the PlayStation Store and buy it from the storefront. The option for PS5 Upgrade should appear clearly on the game's page. However, physical owners of Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy will need to put the disc into their PS5 before opening the store page to purchase their upgrade. On the other hand, those who have the Digital Edition of the PS5 must own a digital copy of either game.
Once players have successfully upgraded their game to the PS5 Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, they can begin the save-transferring process. To import a PS4 save of Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy, players must use their PS5's built-in save file transfer feature via PlayStation Plus cloud storage or an external USB storage device. Using the cloud option will undoubtedly be much quicker, yet the USB option shouldn't take long either. First, place a USB stick into the PS4 and retrieve the desired save file data from Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy. Once the retrieval is complete, insert the storage device into the PS5 and go into the "Copy to Console Storage" menu. From here, players can find their Uncharted save data and complete the process.
How To Transfer PS4 Save File to PS5 in Uncharted Legacy of Thieves
The next step is opening the save file in-game via the upgraded PS5 version. After booting up the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, choose A Thief's End or The Lost Legacy. Next, select "Story" and "Import Game from PS4 console " in the main menu." After the game searches the PS5 system for existing save data, players can choose the save data they wish to import.
Once the importing has been completed, they can start the game from where they left off on their PS4. Keep in mind that this whole procedure is possible for multiple saves, but it still must be done one save file at a time.
