Remaster collection Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves has been rated by the Australian Classification Board, suggesting it might release for PC and PlayStation 5 sooner than earlier estimates anticipated. Sony announced a remastered version of 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and its 2017 spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, and both titles were revealed to be debuting on PC and PS5 in early 2022 - however, original series developer Naughty Dog won’t be on hand for the PC version of Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End served as a finale of sorts for Naughty Dog’s acclaimed series of globe-trotting action-adventure games, with treasure hunter protagonist Nathan Drake embarking on a last expedition alongside his long-lost brother Sam as they searched for the hidden fortune of Henry Avery. Meanwhile, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy shifted the spotlight toward supporting characters Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross on their search for the ancient Tusk of Ganesh in India's Western Ghats mountains. Both these titles were hailed as visually stunning when they first launched on PS4, and they're expected to look even better on PS5 and PC in the upcoming Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection.

The wait might for the remasters may not be much longer, as the Australian Classification Board has given Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection an MA15+ rating for strong violence and mild language. This is on par with the rest of the Uncharted series (including the original PS4 releases of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy), but Australia’s rating is a possible sign of Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection's releasing sooner in early 2022 rather than later. This is based on past Australian ratings like Elden Ring's, whose February 25 release date is scheduled for four months after its October 13 Australian Classification Board rating. Following this logic, it's possible Uncharted: The Lost Legacy could launch sometime in February or March - though nothing official has been confirmed yet.

Sony already has a whirlwind 2022 planned for PS5 owners. Guerilla Games’ open-world sci-fi sequel Horizon Forbidden West is set to launch on February 18, Gran Turismo 7 will be racing onto both current on March 4, and other PlayStation exclusives like God Of War: Ragnarok and new property Forespoken are set to release at unspecified points next year. In the meantime, Uncharted fans have been looking back on the 10th anniversary of 2011's Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and are preparing to experience Nathan Drake on the big screen in the upcoming live-action Uncharted movie.

It's worth noting that any information drawn from the Australian Classification Board's rating of Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves aside from the rating itself is mere speculation at this point, but suggestions of the collection hitting stores in either February or March do track with some past board reviews. In any case, Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy will be experienced for the very first time or all over again when Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection launches on PlayStation 5 and PC sometime next year.
