Netflix revealed the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Vs the Reverend interactive episode trailer, which confirms the special will be released on May 12. One of Netflix's first interactive specials was a movie spinoff from the Black Mirror series titled Bandersnatch. Players watched from the perspective of young adult programmer Stefan Butler whose dream comes true when he is asked to develop his own original game based on a choose-your-own-adventure novel. Similarly to his game, viewers were able to make decisions as Stefan, which would affect the outcome of the movie. In total, there were five possible endings.

Netflix tweeted that its next interactive special will be a bonus episode of the completed series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The episode is titled Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend. This bonus will likely pick up where the series ended. In the trailer, Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) sits face-to-face with the Reverend (Jon Hamm) that had held her captive in the bunker before the series started. It is likely that Kimmy will have to testify against her unsuspectingly charming captor to make sure he stays behind bars.

Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, Carol Kane, and Hamm will all return for the interactive episode. In addition, Daniel Radcliffe will be joining the cast. Radcliffe's role hasn't been announced yet, but going off of the trailer, Radcliffe will likely play Kimmy's love interest.

When a woman is rescued from a doomsday cult and lands in New York City, she must navigate a world she didn't think even existed anymore. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was nominated for 18 Emmys, including four Outstanding Comedy nods and nine Outstanding Actor/Actress nods.
