The Umbrella Academy, being a superhero-drama (adapted from comic books of the same name), has all the bits and pieces that one usually attaches with the DC Universe and the Marvel Universe. There is a proper supernatural storyline, with edgy characters, stunning visuals, and brilliantly choreographed fighting sequences.
One of the most loved characters from the Netflix Original is Klaus Hargreeves, who can always come up with funny one-liners and physical comedy at any given time. The Prophet Is A Fraud
In the second season, after landing in 1960s Dallas, Klaus had three years of bliss before joining up with his siblings. Basically, thanks to his ghostly powers, he became the leader of a cult and came to be known as The Prophet. But, when the ending of the world came near, Ben told Klaus to open up to his cult about him being a fraud. And the eventual speech that Klaus gave to his followers was absolutely hilarious.
Bowling Alley Scene
The physical comedy Klaus pulls off in this scene is absolutely brilliant. With the apocalypse coming, every other sibling in The Umbrella Academy has become serious and when they are chased by The Commission in the bowling alley... but Klaus is anything but serious. He steals the show in this scene with his witty one-liners and style of running. It can crack anyone up anytime.
Manifesting Dad While Wearing A Skirt
This is the point in Klaus' life when he is high as a horse on drugs. Upon Sir Reginald Hargreeves' death, the siblings meet up at the house and Luther wants Klaus to manifest their dad by using his ability to conjure up the dead.
But Klaus isn't in the shape to do so and he makes his points quite hilariously. Watching a completely out-of-it Klaus dancing around failing to connect to his father is another show-stealer.
Best Funeral Ever
During their dad's funeral - which didn't feel like one - Diego and Luther got involved in a fight, which was coming. And as soon as they started hitting each other, Klaus put his arm across Five's body, trying to protect him, only to realize that, in reality, he isn't a kid. The way he puts his arm across makes for a fantastic little moment. Also, after the fight, is done, Klaus, like the boss he is, smokes his cigarette and puts it in his dad's ashes.
Drunk With Vanya And Allison
After a long, long time of living in separate timelines, The Umbrella Academy brothers and sisters finally met up in another world-ending situation. Klaus doesn't seem to care, though, and he takes Vanya and Allison with him for a drinking spree. Throughout that bonding conversation, his one-liners are absolutely hilarious. He talks about the family problems with his usual charm, cracking up Vanya, Allison, and the fans, in the process.
Five's Father Klaus
When Five returned to the apocalypse timeline, he brought an eyeball with him, and in order to figure out who it belonged to, he made his way to the company that could have manufactured it. With him, he took Klaus to be his pretend dad and what followed was a genius move from Umbrella Academy's very own addict. He started assaulting himself, in order to put pressure on the doctor and it made for a brilliant watch.
Torture Is The Best
Honestly, this is one of the best things about Klaus. He can make a very difficult situation look like nothing, just because of the carelessness he shows.
It's his body language that's so funny. When Cha-Cha and Hazel are torturing him to get some information about Five, Klaus is in the world of his own. He is seemingly enjoying it and the stuff he does is hysterical. It's absolutely amazing how effortless he makes it look.
Dancing Through The Shoot Out
A full-blown shoot out, with guns, by the way, is going on at The Umbrella Academy house and guess what, Klaus steals the show yet again, with his brilliant physical comedy. Any one of Vanya, Luther, Allison, or Diego could die but the fans couldn't stop laughing at the sight of Klaus, with his headphones on, dancing through it all. It really gave Klaus a legend status among the fans.
Ben And Klaus Have A Brotherly Fight
At the start of the second season, Klaus and Ben are introduced after they have lived for three years in this timeline. So, it's expected that they don't feel good about anything. But with Klaus, even a fight is entertaining to watch. And the way they fight is actually hilarious. It doesn't stop there, though, as Ben plays Klaus right after that, so he has to run from some very dangerous people. It's a proper show of some brotherly love.
Ice Cream Truck Is Here
This has to be one of the most popular scenes in the entire series, just because of the sheer unpredictability of it. Cha-Cha and Hazel are negotiating with Five so that the latter could get in touch with The Handler. But before that happens smoothly, Diego and Klaus show up there in an Ice Cream Truck, ready to blow the brains out of the two. And while they are trying to do that, Klaus, somehow, finds a way to look at Luther, smile, and wave his hands, as if nothing important is going on. This was incredible stuff from Klaus, to be honest.
