Warning: Contains potential SPOILERS for The Umbrella Academy season 3

The Umbrella Academy season 3 fully introduced Christopher, the floating cube member of the Sparrow Academy, showcasing many of his powers throughout the season. As a member of the mysterious Sparrow Academy, it wasn't quite clear what his powers would be. Christopher, known as Number 7, is an important and beloved member of the Sparrow Academy, who clearly has the respect of his siblings and is great in a fight.

In The Umbrella Academy season 2 ending, the new Sparrow Academy is revealed, along with the new children who attend. Reginald Hargreeves decided to choose different children after meeting the Umbrella Academy in the 1960s. He was thoroughly unimpressed with the children he raised and decided to start over. One of those members was a floating cube revealed to be Christopher Hargreeves.

Christopher, the floating cube, has quite a few abilities showcased in The Umbrella Academy season 3. One of his most obvious powers is his non-human physiology, appearing as a sentient cube. This cube state allows him to break apart into multiple different pieces, a power that almost helps save the world. Christopher, in The Umbrella Academy season 3, episode 7, "Auf Wiedersehen," is able to store the Kugelblitz inside of him, the next Kugel wave coming out as only a fart from him. Though the Kugelblitz does end up breaking free, his ability to contain a black hole inside of him for a pretty long period of time is impressive. His physiology also gives him a major advantage in battle, as he is not capable of human speech but can make audible sounds that his siblings can understand. This is a great tactical advantage for the Sparrow Academy. It also allows him an emotional bond with his siblings, even if he cannot speak and isn't human in this form.

Umbrella academy season 3 where Christopher came from

His powers don't stop at his cube form. In fact, one power of his seems similar to Viktor from The Umbrella Academy. Christopher is able to produce a huge blast of energy so powerful that it knocks the Umbrella Academy team to the ground. Allison isn't even able to rumor him, as the blast is too powerful. He also has the ability to control temperatures, turning a room freezing cold. Another power of Christopher's is the ability to induce fear. The fear can be so potent that it can actually paralyze people.

Little is known about Christopher in The Umbrella Academy comics. He appears at the end of the last graphic novel with the other Sparrow Academy members, but he is not actually introduced. His powers are likely different between The Umbrella Academy show and novel, as Gerard Way's Christopher is made up of millions of dead flies, while the show's Christopher is made of a smooth rock-like surface.

While little is known about the origins of Christopher, a sentient cube and member of the Sparrow Academy, The Umbrella Academy season 3 showcases how powerful he can be from his first moment in battle. He is able to emit largely powerful blasts and even keeps a black hole inside of him. Though he died during The Umbrella Academy season 3, there may be more of Christopher in the once again reset timeline where more of his powers and origins might be explored.
