Two-Face is returning to Gotham City in Detective Comics #1020 from writer Peter J. Tomasi and an art team of Brad Walker, Andrew Hennessy and Brad Anderson. Utilizing a team of special force agents with split personalities akin to Two-Face himself, the classic villain is set make life difficult yet again for Batman.

Two-Face aims to keep the chaos going in the wake of the "City of Bane" storyline, where Bane mentally breaks the Caped Crusader and attempts to remake Gotham City in his own image. Just when Bruce Wayne is picking up the pieces of his personal life and his life as Gotham City's savior, he's visited by a villain he can never quite shake away.

As seen in an preview of this upcoming issue offered by DC, Two-Face continues to fan the flames that have been plaguing Batman nonstop since Bane's rise in Gotham City. Illustrator Brad Walker's penciling and layouts are tremendous, as the artist is tailor-made for high-octane action. His panel setup is unique as well, highlighting every fragment of the battle that ensues between the World's Greatest Detective, Two-Face and his associates. Readers will love to see every creepy cut and burn that have afflicted Two-Face for years, as Walker's supreme attention to detail is a perfect match for a noir-influenced series like Detective Comics. He returns to the series after drawing last year's "Medieval" storyline that Tomasi penned.

Tomasi is no stranger to Gotham City, as he's has had a long-running stint in the Batman universe at DC Comics. He had an 18-issue run on Detective Comics in 2006 and 2007 before sporadically filled in on issues of the classic series from 2013 to 2016. He's been writing this current volume of Detective Comics since issue #994, including the landmark Detective Comics #100. Tomasi has additionally spent time on a Nightwing ongoing, the classic second volume of Batman and Robin, as well as the 12-issue Batman: Arkham Knight limited series, a prequel to the 2015 video game of the same name. He will also be a contributor to the upcoming Batman: Pennyworth R.I.P. #1 one-shot issue that will be releasing next month as well that details the reverberations of the death Batman's iconic butler, Alfred Pennyworth, during "City of Bane" that will be felt throughout the entire Batman line at DC Comics.

With Detective Comics #1020 tentatively coming to comic book shops and digital retailers on February 26, Batman fans should be ready for yet another great tale about the Dark Knight from Tomasi.
