Popular Twitch streamer Jerma allowed chat to control his life and actions during a real life experiment based on The Sims, which enabled his fans to vote on his actions and turn his stream into a real-life video game. The streamer is known for outrageous Twitch streams and YouTube content that rocketed him to success. In between his crazy stunts and practical jokes, Jerma takes time to stream video games and card games alike, such as Dark Souls boss fights and Pokémon pack openings. He has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitch and constantly tries to outdo his previous bizarre stunts.
Jerma has been a prominent figure on Twitch as it continues to rise in popularity. In 2019, the streamer hosted The Twitch-Controlled Robot Carnival, a user experience that let viewers play carnival games using drones controlled by chat. Jerma has done other insane stunts, too, such as streaming archaeology lessons from the desert and filming a real-life wrestling stream that converted his video game wrestling series into a physical event. Now Jerma is merging real life and video games in a very unique way.
As reported by Kotaku, Jerma allowed viewers to control his every action in a real-life version of The Sims. During the IRL stream, now viewable on the Jerma Stream Archive YouTube channel, chat voted on Jerma’s actions as he moved around a set freshly built to look like a house from The Sims. The three-hour stream contained various parts that seemed straight out of The Sims franchise. The stream started with a character design level, which allowed the chat to dress Jerma in whichever clothes combination the viewers wanted. The hilarity continued as Jerma was dropped onto the set and was commanded by his chat to do all sorts of outrageous things.

The chat was not exactly kind to Jerma, either. Votes piled in throughout The Dollhouse Stream. Chat forced Jerma to jog, take a bath, and even ordered a mattress to the house that was dropped on top of him. During his bath, Jerma’s body was pixelated, much like the real Sims gameplay. The stream ended when players elected to upgrade Jerma's house, at which point the streamer admitted that the first stream was just the beginning and that the series would continue with two additional episodes. He said that for the future of the gag “we’re literally going to dial it higher and higher."
It’s not clear what new surprises await fans in his subsequent episodes, but if Jerma's past stunts have been any indication, fans can expect a high level of escalation. Time will tell what the notorious figure has in mind for the rest of this bizarre sequence of streams, but he clearly has no shortage of fans who are happy to try their hand at a real life Sims game with a prominent online entertainer.
