Several actors in the Twilight franchise appeared in every film but the final installment: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Instead, these actors were simply included in the credits at the end of the movie, which acknowledged that they had portrayed this character throughout the series. Why didn't these actors reprise their roles in the final Twilight movie as well?

The Twilight saga is based on Stephenie Meyers's popular book series, which pulled viewers into a supernatural world where vampires and werewolves live hidden among humans. The last book in the series was split into two movies, and the final installment in the franchise shifts focus from Bella's role in the human world to her position as the Cullens' newest vampire. Accordingly, the human characters in Breaking Dawn - Part 2 are outweighed by the vampire population.

From a narrative perspective, it makes sense to limit the human characters who appear in Breaking Dawn - Part 2. The final events in the series involves an impending vampire war over Bella's half-human, half-vampire child, Renesmee. Furthermore, the lack of human characters symbolically reinforces the notion that Bella has left her old life behind.

Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley)

Anna Kendrick played Jessica Stanley, who in the films was a blend of the book characters Jessica Stanley and Lauren Mallory. Jessica is last seen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 attending Bella and Edward's wedding. In an interview with Real Style Network, she cited mixed feelings about her role coming to an end: "it’s a lot of responsibility to the fans and to the books. It's sort of a weight off, but obviously it's sad that it's over."  After completing her part in the Twilight saga, Kendrick has appeared in many successful projects, including the Pitch Perfect and Trolls franchises.

Christian Serratos (Angela Webber)

Christian Serratos, who portrayed Angela Webber throughout the series, had a similar reaction to the franchise's end as Kendrick. In an interview with Secret Language TV, Serratos stated that Twilight was "a fantastic project to be a part of." Serratos's character was last seen at the wedding as well, where she caught the bouquet. This was not, however, Serratos's last run-in with the supernatural, because she went on to act in The Walking Dead.

Michael Welch (Mike Newton)

Mike Newton, another of Bella’s human friends, was played by actor Michael Welch, who was also bid adieu at the wedding in both the novel and in Breaking Dawn - Part 1. In a red-carpet interview with POPSUGAR Entertainment, Welch commented that he was "just really grateful I got to be a part of this." Subsequently, Welch played the lead in the romantic comedy Boy Meets Girl.

Justin Chon (Eric Yorkie)

Actor Justin Chon's character, Eric Yorkie, was the final human high schooler to be last seen at the wedding. Chon's character is a blend of the book characters Eric Yorkie and Ben Cheney. Chon, like Welch, stated he was grateful to be involved in the Twilight franchise; in a red carpet interview with Hypable, he said, "I'm just happy to be a part of it...They kept me on for four movies. That's cool." After Twilight, Chon spread his wings in Hollywood. In 2013, he starred in the comedy 21 & Over, and went on to dabble in film direction.

Gil Birmingham (Billy Black)

Actor Gil Birmingham, who portrayed Jacob's strict, wheelchair-using father, Billy Black, also was last seen in the wedding. In an interview with POPSUGAR Entertainment at the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 premiere, Birmingham was asked about how it felt to have the series coming to an end for him, to which he replied, "Well, we don't really see it as coming to an end just yet; we still have another movie coming out next year." Birmingham had a long career as a character actor before appearing in Twilight, and has kept busy in the industry in the years since, with memorable roles in House of Cards and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
