This 90's cult favorite about a teenage girl chosen to fight the forces of darkness has undoubtedly been an inspiration for countless artists and fans alike. Though the Emmy nominated series is still popular to this day, not every episode during the series seven-year run was well received. Season 4's "Beer Bad," is often pointed out by fans and critics alike as one of the worst episodes of the show.

The episode is considered a dud mainly due to the way the episode handled the message to dissuade underage drinking. Unlike the show's typical preference for hiding metaphors that were considered relatable and introspective, "Beer Bad" heavily pushes its message in a way that felt too forced and cheesy. According to one reviewer the episode, "knocks people over the head with its meaning... Literally."
