A trailer teasing releases from Disney+ reveals a split-second sneak peek at the streaming service's Turner & Hooch TV reboot starring Josh Peck. The show is based on the 1989 buddy-cop movie of the same name that starred Tom Hanks as Scott Turner, an investigator who's cornered into dogsitting Hooch, the pet and sole witness of a murder victim. Peck will continue the story as the son of Hanks' character.

The TV series picks up years after the events of the film rather than revamping them: Peck plays U.S. Marshall Scott Turner Jr., who inherits Hooch after his father's death. Like his father, Turner is straight-laced and unprepared to take care of an untrained animal. Hooch eventually helps Turner and his family to investigate possible foul play surrounding the death of their father. The reboot stars Lyndsy Fonseca as Scott's dog-loving sister Laura Turner, Carra Patterson as his wise-cracking, impulsive partner Jessica Baxter, and Vanessa Lengies as Erica Mouniere, a dog trainer and Scott's love interest. Five dogs share the role of Hooch: Arnie, Hammer, Obi, Cyd, and Mya.

Disney+ has released a new trailer that offers a look at its reboot of Turner & Hooch. The clip pops in at 0:17 and follows a similar shot of Hanks and Beasley the Dog from the 1989 film. The new clip pays homage to the original shot with Peck and any one of the five canine actors in the same angle. Check out the clip below:

The video sneaks in peeks at some of the streaming service's upcoming projects with clips of its existing movies and TV shows as well. In addition to Turner & Hooch, viewers can catch a split-second clip of What If...?, an animated anthology TV series about how certain events would hypothetically alter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The video also shows Tom Hiddleston holding court in Loki, a Phase 4 MCU series that follows a pre-reformed version of the Thor character after he creates an alternate timeline in Avengers: Endgame.

It's hard to learn very much about Turner & Hooch and some of the other shows and movies included in the video considering the length of the clips. However, the promo should only increase anticipation for the upcoming reboot and Disney+'s other projects. Peck charmed fans as an overly neurotic teenager in the still-underrated sitcom Drake & Josh back in the day, so playing the control freak opposite another force of chaos in Turner & Hooch feels like a perfect fit for his comedic persona. Viewers will find out for sure when the show premieres on July 16.
