There is a fast travel feature in Tunic that players will likely be unaware of until later stages of the game. However, each of the fast travel warp points can be activated as soon as they're found, making it easier to get back and forth early on if players know how to activate them. There is no special equipment needed to activate Tunic's fast travel platforms, but their purpose is unclear until players find some of the instruction pages.

Many of the mechanics used throughout the game are hidden at the beginning of Tunic. The instruction pages, which can be collected at various points in a player's journey, reveal new features slowly. There will likely be a decent amount of backtracking after finding new pages. Tunic's fast travel warp points are not very obvious when starting out, and the way to activate them is also a secret, but players can save a lot of time by unlocking fast travel early.

Tunic: Fast Travel With Yellow Squares

The fox in Tunic standing on a warp point for fast travel.

In Tunic fast travel pads appear as large, square, golden platforms, and the fox needs to pray while standing on one to activate it. In order to pray, players will need to hold down the same button that dodges and runs for three seconds. The fox will kneel and blue wisps will swirl around them to indicate that they are praying. When one of Tunic's fast travel locations is successfully activated, the surrounding ground will open up and the pad will glow.

Each warp point leads to the same central hub where the other platforms can be accessed as well. There are nine golden platforms to find while adventuring in Tunic, but one of them is only accessible from the fast travel hub, and it leads to an empty arena with a large sword floating in the center. This area can only be completed after collecting and placing all three colored gems in the Sealed Temple. The other eight platforms can be found and activated in the overworld or dungeons.

Fast travel locations can be found throughout Tunic in the Quarry, West Garden, Ruined Atoll, Eastern Vault, Town Ruins, Great Library, Hidden Vault, and by the beach after collecting the three colored gems. Tunic's fast travel teleporters are especially useful toward the end of the game, allowing players to quickly get back to an area where they may have missed something. Fast travel in Tunic is limited, but it still helps make exploration a bit easier, especially in later stages of the game.

Some of Tunic's warp points need to be activated in the overworld before they can be used in the hub. If players reach the fast travel hub and have inactive platforms, they will appear as black squares, and praying on them won't do anything. There's a fast travel platform behind the stairs in the hub, but it isn't listed in Tunic's instruction manual. Using the platform behind the stairs will lead to a room in the Hidden Vault, but it will be blocked off until players open up a path from the other side.
